Ant Anstead is enjoying the love he shares with his girlfriend, Renée Zellweger.
Although the car enthusiast is caught up in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, Christina Haack, he has made it his mission to spend quality time with his love. To that end, the couple enjoyed a date night that Anstead shared evidence of on her Instagram Story. The sweet moment came months after the Oscar-winning actress and her British beau attended an event for Radford Motors.

In the photo Anstead uploaded, fans were treated to a candlelight vigil, a glass of red wine, a bouquet of tulips, and two cards with her and Zellweger’s names on them. The “For the Love of Cars” co-host hinted at the fun he had with his date, writing, “Now that’s a beautiful Evening [smiling face with hearts emoji].”
That story is enough of an indication that Anstead isn’t letting his legal battle with his ex-wife, Christina Haack, affect his love life. In case you missed it, the “Wheeler Dealers” co-hosts filed a motion for full custody of their son, Hudson London, because his ex was “exploiting” the three-year-old.
Although Anstead’s ex has denied the allegations, he has stopped posting about their son on social media platforms. The legal battle seems to be the only thing that binds the former couple, whose divorce was finalized in June 2021.
In fact, the two have moved on romantically, with Christina marrying Joshua’ Josh’ Hall earlier this year. As for Anstead, she and Zellweger first crossed paths while filming the former Discovery+ show, “Celebrity IOU: Joyride.”
PEOPLE confirmed that the two began dating around the time Anstead’s divorce proceedings were finalized. By September 2021, their relationship became Instagram official, with the 43-year-old sharing a sweet monochromatic photo of himself and the “Judy” actress smiling for the camera.

He continues to share glimpses of their romance while his award-winning girlfriend keeps a low profile on social media. Speaking about the nature of her relationship with Zellweger, Anstead said:
“Renée and my relationship is something very personal. It’s something I don’t want to talk about too much. It’s really early in our relationship, and I don’t want to put any pressure on it.”
Although the automaker had planned to spend the Christmas holidays with his partner, a picture he uploaded on social media showed that the plan had gone astray.
Despite the obstacles, the father of three used a unique ornament attached to the festive tree to honor his love. The decoration features a red car with two smiling cartoon people in the window – one with the name “Ant” and the other with “Renée.”
By January 2022, Zellweger had met all three of her lover’s children, including her daughter, Amelie, and son, Archie, who both live in England with their mother — Anstead’s first wife, Louise Storey.

The Blast reported earlier this month that Christina was done with the ongoing drama between her and her second ex-husband. For that, the mother of two used her Instagram to tell her 1.8 million followers. Along with a car selfie showing him wearing oversized sunglasses, the property investor began:
“I am mentally exhausted by the false accusations against me recently. Father Hudson has made attempts to turn my family, friends and fans against me through manipulative tactics and false information.”
Seeing the “huge impact” of the game and Anstead’s accusations on her and her family, Christina decided that she “will no longer feature Hudson on Instagram, my tv show or any social platform until she is old enough to make this decision for herself.” The 39-year-old further explained his decision, writing:
“I have always been fine without Hudson appearing on a public platform and have made that clear. The only reason I want him to appear on my show is to go on fun activities/trips with our family/siblings.”
Unfortunately, Anstead misunderstood her intentions, instead choosing to use her Instagram posts to judge her parenting skills because that was the only access she had to her life. Although she limited comments on the post, Christina still received support from her colleagues and fans.
