After not sleeping for 36 hours, Simmons spoke to his followers in a video clip about his day and what he’s excited about after graduating. “I did everything I said I was going to do, because I was up like all night, and then woke up around 7 in the morning, like, I’m going to wake up. I will live life and hopefully I will be tired,” he explained. “So I went to all my classes, I worked out, I just didn’t make it to this ballet class.”
She went on to explain that the ballet class was across from Harvard and she missed the bus so she gave up. “But, I went to class. And here’s the thing, going to class is really important because I miss class for work and so I can’t be sick or like just skip class for any other reason because I’m really spending my all. goodwill will work. So yeah, I’m glad I made it through the day.”
Simmons then explained what he was excited about after graduating from college. “I think as a model, you know, you want to, like, do all these things, I take more dance classes so I can have a better sense of movement and you know, have better posture and just, I use to dance for a long time so it’s like getting a better sense of my body. I want to exercise. I want to do a facial. I want to prepare for my work,” she said. “But I’m also in college and I don’t think college students are so good at being like above self-care, so I hope not to be in an anti-self-care environment.”

The model not only worked hard during her last semester at Harvard University but also prepared for her last New York Fashion Week as a college student, which brought challenges. He showed some of the things he was excited about after college in a video shared on TikTok.
“I’m going into my last fashion season, Fashion Week, as a full-time Harvard student and full-time aspiring, but maybe part-time model. And this is what I will try to pay attention to,” he said. “You think Boston and New York are very close, but they’re not. They are like a four-hour train, or a half-hour flight. Let’s call it a four hour trip.”
With Fashion Week bringing many last-minute schedule changes, it can be challenging for Simmons who travels from Boston and tries not to miss too many classes. “This Fashion Week I have a few things to do, I’m really excited. I have two train tickets that I plan to like take two classes. I’ll be back midnight Wednesday, take class Thursday, class Friday, return Friday at 4pm”

Another thing he’s excited about is not having to divide his attention and being able to focus on one big thing at a time. “I think both models and Harvard are really 100 percent, like people usually don’t divide their attention, so even if I’m like working as hard as possible, I’m not going to get as many castings or work as hard as the girl who lives in New York who is full-time model and can go to every actor and do everything he can do,” he explained.
“At Harvard, people are like, Harvardy, they never go, they don’t have jobs outside, they don’t disappear, they’ll be all about the problem, the job application grinds. I think I failed in both, or you could say, I did great in half of both.”

Simmons shared another video talking about what she does when transitioning happens and how she likes to write a list of things she’s excited about. She captioned the video on Instagram, “I literally have a countdown calendar but make a list guys I’m waiting for, I promise it will stop you from crying at your graduation!”
“I’m on the final countdown to graduate college so welcome to all the things I’m excited about not being in college, or all the reasons I’m happy to graduate,” she began her video. She went on to explain that some of the things she’s looking forward to are being available for more modeling jobs, including international jobs and getting more sleep.
“I always felt like the weak link in group projects,” he says. “You don’t want to be the weak link in a group project at Harvard. You will never live so low.”
Many of Simmons’ followers added their thoughts in the comments section. “I know social media can’t tell you everything about someone but nothing about you says weak link! I’ll bet money on that,” wrote one. “This is great! You will be able to achieve whatever your interests and GOALS are driven too! Never feel like the oddball in the group. Sometimes individuals secretly want to be YOU! ????,” added another.
