Political career
Archana is a member of the Indian National Congress. He started his political career in November 2021 when he joined the Indian National Congress and was elected from Hastinapur (State Assembly constituency) for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2022. His party lost the election after the results were announced on 10 March 2022. He was reportedly only able to garnered 1,519 votes in the 2022 State Assembly Election. After losing the election, he tweeted about his defeat.

In 2021, he rejoined the Congress party which he had left out of frustration at being disrespected. In an interview, he said that his father asked him to join the party again.

Wrong comment about Archana’s profession
In 2022, Archana’s name was announced as a candidate from Hastinapur constituency in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022. After her name was announced, she was embarrassed because of a bikini picture she posted on social media. In an interview, Archana spoke about this and said,
I am representing India in Miss Bikini 2018. I am Miss Uttar Pradesh 2014 & Miss Cosmo World 2018. I request people not to mix my profession in the media industry with my political career.”
