In 2015, when Ronda Rousey was preparing for UFC 184, she commented on the pay of UFC ring girls, saying she thought ring girls shouldn’t be paid as much as they were.
Arianny Celeste didn’t let this slide and talk about the comments made. “I’m not going to talk about him because I’m not a fighter,” Celeste said. “I will not waste my time. I’m not talking about anyone. I’m surprised when someone who doesn’t know me keeps insulting me. And that’s all I saw of him — a big bully.”
Rousey quickly clapped at Celeste’s comment. “What did I say that’s a bully? That fighters should be paid more than ring girls? How does that make me a bully? That makes me f—–g right,” Rousey stated. “I’m sorry, but he wouldn’t have a job without a fighter. He won’t. Do you think him walking in circles around the two men or women out there fighting for their lives is worth more? Think he works harder than them?
The brawler admitted that he has “a lot of respect” for Celeste’s friend and teammate, Brittney Palmer.
“She became a ring card girl to pay her way through art school and become a famous artist. And being a ring card girl helps her promote her art,” Rousey said of Palmer. “If you’re working at Hooters because you’re trying to pay your way through medical school, then f—–’ work, girl. I respect the hustle. But don’t think you’re hot s–t just because you work at Hooters. Use it to advance yourself; don’t think you’re great just because you do. I’m sorry, but I’m not impressed with the job.”

Recently, Arianny Celeste defended herself and her fellow ring girls after UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov criticized the use of ring girls in the MMA Octagon.
“I’ve worked over 15 years in this industry and learned it’s easier to NOT CARE,” he said. “For 15 years, we’ve been more than just ring girls – we’ve dedicated time to promoting the UFC and showing love and time to our die-hard fans through world tours and personal appearances. And even though the world is so different, I can still feel that energy and love every time we perform with the audience.”
Celeste went on to explain how her 15 years of hard work and dedication had led her to become “A badass woman** and rich. A real estate investor and owner of not only 1 but 3 homes/properties, one located in LA -which is expensive AF, and a woman who is not afraid to take risks and build for my future.”
