Zach Shallcross sent Ariel Frenkel packing after the dramatic Fantasy Suite week of “The Bachelor.”
Although Shallcross didn’t choose Frenkel in the end, the 28-year-old admitted that even if she did choose him in the future, she probably wouldn’t say yes to an engagement.

During homecoming on “The Bachelor,” which takes place the week before Fantasy Suite week, Shallcross faces some tough questions from the Frenkel family, especially from her brother.
Bobby Frenkel grilled Shallcross about his intentions and feelings for his sister, even pointing out how Shallcross didn’t know her birthday or middle name.
Although Frenkel wasn’t there for the heated conversation between her family and her boyfriend, the two discussed their entire hometown during their one-on-one night when the cameras weren’t rolling.
“It sounds like the conversation he had with my parents wasn’t the smoothest, and with my brother in particular,” he told Nick Viall on “The Viall Files” podcast, which led to the fact that if Shallcross had gotten down on one knee, he might have refused. “It’s hard for me to accept [an engagement] when I kinda got the feeling my family wasn’t on board when [Zach and I] was speaking at the Fantasy Suite,” he continued to explain.
“I don’t base my life off of my family at all,” he continued, “They’re not, like, the judge of my relationship or who I end up with, but it’s important for someone to fit in with my family and to fit into my world and my life. And I feel like a lot of things in the Fantasy Suite; I’m starting to see a little bit of a difference in how the hometown goes down that I didn’t see when we were there.”

While Bobby Frenkel may seem stern and tough, the 28-year-old reality television star says he protects her and “wants the best” for her.
“He broke the fourth wall [during filming] and asked a lot of questions that people don’t usually get asked, and I think that’s important for him to do. I feel like my family is very realistic,” he said in the podcast. “I try to be as realistic as possible about the process as well, but I mean… I made this decision; my family does not. So they didn’t necessarily have to be on board, but my parents were very supportive because, as my dad said, he believed in me completely.”
He continued, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with someone being protective, and I don’t think he’s as aggressive as he’s necessarily portrayed. I think in the context of the show, it looks very volatile.”
“But in reality, if someone asks you that and it blows a hole in a fast-moving relationship, that’s normal. I also think blind support is not my family situation. They supported me after seeing evidence of something.”
Zach Shallcross proposed to Kaity Biggar during the finale of “The Bachelor,” and Frenkel said he doesn’t wish the best for either of them.
