He’s in the doghouse now.
An Arizona couple alleges the woman they hired to watch their dog got drunk, trashed their house and kept the dog in their crate for days while they were on vacation last month.
Brooke Gambino and Mohammad Kabiri hired a pet sitter from the Rover app who will watch over their dogs — Goose and Bernardo — and stay at home while they travel for 10 days between December 14 and Christmas Day, with the sole responsibility of feeding the dogs that. and make sure they don’t run away.
The couple went through a trial run with a babysitter the previous week, which they said went without a hitch.
“He has great reviews and seems to have been at Rover for several years,” Gambino told 3TV/CBS 5.
The first three days go without a hitch but the pair become wary of the babysitter when they receive ridiculous messages, including pictures of random dogs.
Concerned about their dog’s well-being, the couple asked a friend to drop by their house to make sure everything was ok.
“He stopped and said your dog is alive, but your house is really messy, and he [the sitter] Looks like he’s on his way,” Gambino said.

When they returned from their vacation, Gambino and Kabiri claimed their house was a mess, with dirty duvet covers, dirt on their wooden desks, vape juice containers and random car keys.
They told the store that they also found alcohol bottle caps lying around, which confirmed their suspicions that the nanny was drunk.
After their gruesome discovery, the couple checked their home’s security cameras which helped shed light on the nanny’s stay at their home.
Cameras ringing outside the house captured the moment the two dogs escaped and ran around for nearly 30 minutes. 3TV/CBS 5) The dog sitter was also caught taking an unknown man back to the couple’s home. 3TV/CBS 5)
“The 17th is when everything falls apart,” Gambino added.
Ring footage captures the moment the two dogs get loose and run around the parking lot as voices are heard yelling “Go here.”
The dogs reportedly wandered for 30 minutes before returning home because the sitter never showed up, according to KPNX.
Another video shows a man walking out of the house shouting “Where are the dogs? What have you done?”

The camera also captures the time the nanny visits the home, with only the last few minutes
“No one was home with the dogs for 23 hours, plus. They were kept for three days straight,” Gambino told the outlet.
The guard was also captured appearing to have trouble walking, stumbling into a bush before struggling to get back on his feet.
“Well, if you’re not smart enough to take care of our dogs, then that’s a problem,” Gambino said.

The keeper allegedly blamed his actions on needing hospital for a kidney infection but also added the dog was fine.
Gambino said it’s hard to see their pets treated so poorly because they’ve been great additions to the home over the years.
“Those dogs have been an emotional support in the past few years that have just been rough, and they really are a part of our special family,”
The couple said they’re thankful their dog is ok, but won’t be using the Rover app again. 3TV/CBS 5)
Rover said they have suspended the nanny “pending the outcome of our investigation,” a statement shared with AZFamily read.
The company also shared that they are providing a full refund to the couple along with providing any other support to them or their dog.
“I think we’re a bit shocked more than anything, but relieved our dog is ok,” the angry couple said as they planned to stop using the service.
