Singer, Azealia Banks, who is currently performing in Australia, has some choice words for the country following her previous experience. The artist is known for his rowdy past with Australian audiences having left two different shows after something was thrown at him on stage.
In Banks’ latest incident, she was originally scheduled to perform at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Tuesday night as part of her latest tour. Instead, he took to Instagram to inform his fans that he would not be on stage.
After retracting his words and issuing strict security measures during the show, the production company responsible for ticket sales announced that it had been cancelled.

Hours before her show in Brisbane began, Banks announced to her fans that she had no intention of taking the stage to perform. In a video released on Instagram, the controversial artist recalls an incident that happened in the city before, where things were thrown at him on stage.
Banks was initially set to perform in Melbourne and Brisbane earlier this week, but the show was moved due to artist “visa issues”. He was in Sydney on Sunday night for his show, but his show on December 10 in Melbourne was again canceled and rescheduled for Saturday.
On Tuesday night, the artist arrived in Brisbane at The Tivoli but canceled just hours before the show. He said (via New York Post), “I’m so sorry, you guys, actually I’m not sorry. But listen, last time I was in Brisbane, and you guys threw s–t on stage and damn near f–king hit me in the face with a bottle of f–king soda or whatever that s–t was.”

Banks described the experience as the most “racist” and “demoralizing” thing that had ever happened to him. “That was the most racist, most f–king demoralizing experience of my f–king life, and now, I’m on a really good track,” he said.
The artist revealed that he was only interested in performing in Sydney and Melbourne and claimed that there was a completely different culture than what he was used to in the country. Banks continued, “I’m a beautiful black woman, and I’m not going to get in front of some white audience for them to throw shit at me.”
“I have no regrets. I have no regrets at all. Brisbane, you just have to take the L and smoke it,” the “Luxury” artist added.
Azealia Banks Says Australia Made Her ‘So Miserable’

Despite his initial comments about not performing, Banks posted another video a few hours later listing some additional security measures for his protection. He also warned that if anything untoward happened, he would immediately leave the stage, a threat he had made before.
“Any and everything that can be considered a [projectile] have to check in at check-in time. No keys, no coins, no hairbrush, no vape pen, no lighter. No drinks on the dance floor. As soon as something stupid happens, I will leave,” the artist warned.
Banks called the Australian tour his last in the country because it made him feel “so miserable.” He said, per Caretaker, “After this run, this will be the last time I visit Australia. This place makes me absolutely miserable, and I’m too black and beautiful to see a bunch of white people in my face messing with me for their WEAK ASS CURRENCY.”
The Show Has Been Cancelled

The Brisbane show was eventually canceled after Point Productions, the production company responsible for bringing Banks to Australia, informed ticket holders of the development. The company stated that the cancellation was due to “unforeseen circumstances”; however, everyone who bought a ticket will receive their funds back immediately.
The statement read, “Point Productions would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused; this is out of our control.”
Banks doesn’t have the best relationship with Australian concertgoers. In 2015, the artist said he was wasting his time performing at the Splendor In The Grass festival. He also called the Australian crowd “brutal and belligerent” and “a terrible crowd to play for” in response to a tweet sent by an Australian radio host congratulating him on the show ending.
One of Banks’ most notable incidents in the country was in 2016 when she walked off stage 90 seconds into her performance after someone in the crowd threw a beer can at her.
