Have the roses faded between ‘Bachelor’ winner Gabby Windey and her fiance Erich Schwer?
While there hasn’t been any concrete confirmation from either party, concerned Bachelor Nation fans seem to think that Windey may have dropped a clue about the current state of their relationship status during a post-“Dancing With The Stars” interview.
The road to marital happiness is not an easy one for the couple.
Controversy seemed to surround Windey and Schwer in the second half of Windey’s season of “The Bachelorette.”
Just before the season finale aired, Schwer faced scrutiny after an ex-girlfriend publicly shared texts that had been exchanged shortly before his departure to film “The Bachelorette.”
Schwer also found himself under attack after a high school photo leaked showing Schwer dressed as Jimi Hendrix, complete with blackface.
Now eagle-eared ‘Bachelorette’ fans seem to think the couple may no longer be on their way to the altar.

The latest season finale of “The Bachelorette” was full of heartbreaking moments.
Windey’s best friend and fellow ‘Bachelor’ Rachel Recchia was forced to publicly relive her heartbreak after it was revealed she and her final choice, Tino Franco, had gotten engaged only to split shortly after.
Recchia wasn’t alone in revisiting painful situations publicly during the two-part season finale; Windey and Schwer publicly addressed the aforementioned text message, after host Jesse Palmer brought it up.
The Blast shared the details of how the conversation unfolded, including Schewer’s full explanation of his actions.
“I took the cowardly way out [with my ex,] Schwer began, “I’m leading this girl on and using the show as an excuse not to confront her about our relationship. I don’t see a future, but we’re having fun, and it’s easy to have fun instead of making the hard decision to tell her it’s not long term, ” Schwer continued. “I think it’s all a testament to me being the last person ever to be on this show. I came here hoping just to get past the first night and see what happens. I watched an episode before I came and only thought about it when I arrived over there.”
Windey later explained to People magazine that she had “anticipated” the text and advised her fiance to prepare herself for the public response.
“He was afraid they were going to leak, and I was like, ‘You have to prepare yourself now and tell the truth,'” Windey detailed. Since Schwer publicly acknowledged his actions, Windey felt no further action was necessary.
“…There’s nothing I can say or do,” he added, referring to Schwer holding himself accountable.
Is There A Chance Windey And Schwer’s Relationship Will Be Short-Term?
A month and a half after the pair appeared on “After The Final Rose,” Windey is busy competing on “Dancing With The Stars.”
While doing interview after the screening dressed in a Halloween costume, she was asked by a Fox News reporter if she and her ‘Bachelor’ baby were still together.
Windey chose to remain vague with his answer, opting not to share specific details.
“I think, um, our lives are really busy for both of us right now,” she began, “so I understand their concerns, but we’re just, you know, pursuing each other’s interests and supporting each other from afar, ” concluded Windey.
Entertainment news reporter Zacharyreality posted the clip on Twitter earlier this morning, and fans took to the thread’s comments section to discuss Windey’s response.
A Twitter user answered“I don’t know if that’s yes they’re still together or not, we live separate lives…”
One fan responded, “if he didn’t say ‘We’re still together,’ I’d assume they weren’t”
Zacharyreality followed up the clip with a tweet where he expanded on his thoughts on the current state of Windey and Schwer’s relationship.
“As of today, I think it’s over between Gabby & Erich. But, I still have hope,” he tweeted with a praying hand emoji.
Windey posted a set of photos on Instagram two weeks ago, featuring several pictures of the couple looking happy and still together. Here’s hoping their relationship still blossoms like the many roses Windey gave Schwer to her during their season of “The Bachelorette!”
