The paparazzi asked McLean if he believed they were treated fairly after their vacation special, “A Very Backstreet Holiday,” was canceled by ABC.

The Backstreet Boys “Couldn’t Be Tighter”
Nick remains innocent.
McLean said BSB “couldn’t be stronger.”
We previously reported that a BSB fan filed a lawsuit against Nick alleging that he forced her to perform sexual acts on him in 2001.
On Thursday, December 8, a woman named Shannon “Shay” Ruth and her attorney held a Facebook Live press conference where she accused the Backstreet Boys singer of raping her.

Not only that, he said it happened in 2001 when he was only 17 years old.

Ruth is autistic and has cerebral palsy.
“The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration, shame and self-harm as a direct result of Nick Carter raping me,” the now 39-year-old claimed. “Even though I am autistic and live with cerebral palsy, I believe that nothing has influenced me more or made a more lasting impact on my life than what Nick Carter did and said to me.”
To make matters worse, Ruth claims that after the rape, Nick called her a “retarded bastard”.

“After he raped me, I remember him calling me a ‘retarded bastard’ and holding me and leaving bruises on my arms,” she further claimed. “Carter tried to scare me into silence… he was mean and threatening.”
Ruth explained why it took her so long to speak up.
She feared she would “go to jail” if she told anyone what allegedly happened between her and Carter.
Shannon Ruth Wants to Hold Nick Accountable
However, Ruth has a new take on the situation and her main goal is to “stop” the singer from “attacking more teenagers and women.”
He wants to “hold Nick Carter accountable.”
Ruth concluded, “Just because Nick Carter is a celebrity doesn’t mean he’s exempt from his crimes. I am a survivor and will remain.”

Her attorney, Mark J. Boskovich, also took the stand to reveal three other women under the pseudonym “Jane Doe” were named in a joint lawsuit filed with Ruth.
“Nick Carter has a long history of abusing women,” Boskovich said, adding that the music industry has turned a blind eye to him.
“Shay is determined to bring Carter to justice,” Boskovich said. “She believes it’s worth it to protect other women.”
According to legal documents, Ruth claims she was invited onto Carter’s tour bus following a concert she attended in Tacoma, WA., after standing in an autograph line.
She claims he offered her a red drink called “VIP juice.” Ruth believed it was a mixture of alcohol and cranberry juice.

Be aware that he is 17 years old at this time.
According to the lawsuit, Carter allegedly ordered Ruth to perform oral sex on her while she was crying.
She added he took her to bed on a tour bus and sexually assaulted her, even though she was a virgin at the time.
Ruth claims that she contracted HPV (Human papillomavirus), a sexually transmitted disease, following the rape. He is seeking monetary damages for the alleged crimes.
This is not the first time he has been accused of sexually assaulting someone.
In 2017, Melissa Schuman, a former member of Dream, alleged that Carter sexually assaulted her when she was 18 and he was 22.
News of her latest sexual assault lawsuit comes more than a month after her younger brother died of drowning in his bathtub.
