Nicole Eggert recently took to social media to show her courage amid her battle with an “extremely rare” form of breast cancer. Eggert filmed himself getting his hair cut and was joined by one of his daughters, who stepped in to finish the job.
The former model previously revealed that she was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma after thinking she was going through menopause. She blamed her inability to spot cancer earlier on the breast implants she had for “Baywatch.”

The “Baywatch” alum took to Instagram on Thursday to share footage of the vulnerable moment with fans. He can be seen shaving his hair as the Beastie Boys song “Fight for Your Right” plays in the background.
The 52-year-old actress smiled for the camera as she started work in her living room before grabbing a pair of clippers. He then begins to shave his hair before the video switches to speed-up footage of the process.
Eggert got some form of help for the task when one of her daughters, Keegan, 12, stepped into the frame to help her remove the hair on the back of her head before Eggert took over the clippers again.
“Maybe healing doesn’t involve so much change but allowing ourselves to be ourselves – Madeleine Eames,” she captioned the emotional footage.

When was Nicole Eggert diagnosed with Cancer?
In a recent conversation with People magazineThe former “Charles in Charge” star opened up about her battle with cancer, revealing that she was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in early December 2023.
She stated that she initially thought she was going through menopause after gaining 25 pounds in three months and experiencing “excruciating pain” in her left breast, only to discover a lump during a self-examination of her endowment.
“It was really throbbing and painful,” he told the news outlet. “I immediately went to the GP and he told me I needed to get it checked out immediately. But the problem was I couldn’t get an appointment. Everything was booked. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it ready.”

She was later diagnosed with cancer after undergoing a discovery mammogram and three biopsies.
The actor wants to fight cancer for his children
Elsewhere in her chat with the news outlet, she revealed that her “biggest fear” isn’t for her children, her daughters Keegan, 12, and Dilyn, 25. The actress, whose father is battling skin cancer and her mother is battling colon cancer, shared that he has a daughter to whom he is “sole guardian.”
“[Dilyn’s] an adult, but I have a 12-year-old child at home where I am the sole caretaker. I have no family. I had nothing,” he said. “It immediately dawned on me, no one is subject to this. This is something I have to go through. This is something I have to overcome. He needs me more than anything and anyone.”
After sharing her diagnosis, Eggert revealed that doctors later found more cancer in her lymph nodes.

“Self-examination, I tell you, I’m kicking myself [for not doing them frequently],” he said Inside Edition. “That’s one thing I should have done.”

Eggert will need surgery to remove the cancer and shared that at that time, she is waiting for her oncologist to determine when chemotherapy and radiation will begin, per Many people. He also shared that he did not know if the cancer had spread to other parts of his body.
“I can definitely feel it,” she said of the lump in her breast. “It’s there. It needs to be removed. So it’s just a matter of whether I have to do the treatment before the surgery or can they do the surgery and then I do the treatment after.”
“I had a panic where I was like, just get this off me,” she added. “You’re sitting there and it’s inside you and you’re like, every second that goes by and it’s inside me. It’s growing, and you’re like, you just want it out.”
The actress also shared her reservations about the cause of the cancer, blaming it all on the breast implants she got when she was 18 to look better on screen for “Baywatch.”
“If I didn’t have them and I had smaller natural breasts, I’m sure I would have felt them sooner,” she said.
