Beautiful singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha has apparently ended her relationship with her boyfriend of three years — Keyan Sayfari, after he shared what many believed to be text messages from the filmmaker criticizing her physical appearance. The two have been romantically linked since September 2020 when they were spotted locking lips outside Rexha’s home in Los Angeles, California.
Bebe Rexha’s Ex-Boyfriend’s Text Throws Social Media Into Different Camps
Although Rexha’s weight has been the topic of discussion on social media for quite some time now, no one expected to see her partner reportedly piling it on as well. However, that’s what happened when she uploaded a now-represented screenshot of a text that says Sayfari was “honest” with her when she asked if her weight gain changed her face.
“Hey. I never said you weren’t beautiful and I never said I didn’t love you. In fact, I said how beautiful you are and how much I love you,” Sayfari’s alleged message began as seen in a tweet by Pop Crave. He explained that because he wanted to stay “honest with you,” he told her his “face changed” because he “cared.” Continue, Sayfari questioned:
“You’d rather I cheat on you? You gained 35 pounds obviously you gained weight and your face changed? Should I pretend it didn’t happen and it’s ok?”

After seemingly insinuating that the 33-year-old blonde broke up with him over her alleged comments about her weight, he added, “If you’re trying to find a reason to break up, this makes sense… but it’s not the real reason. If you’re not happy with me/yourself/with life and don’t see a future with us then that’s fine and that’s why.”
The sender of the message, believed to be Sayfari, later told Rexha that she shouldn’t use the topic “to weaponize” her anger, insecurity or anxiety. “You know I’ve always found you beautiful and love you no matter what,” she further typed before allegedly advising the “In the Name of Love” singer to “think about things and write things down, talk to a therapist and do this. back off to get to the root of the problem.”
Sayfari, who was quarantined with Rexha during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic per PEOPLE, wraps up the text, stating, “Let me know if you want to talk if you need more clarity. Love you.”
The update, which has been viewed over a million times, spurred a large number of comments, with this one read, “That’s the problem with hot girls! They date ugly guys and these guys gain confidence and don’t see themselves! I mean, your face alone weighs 35 pounds, lol.”
“She’s really like a very sweet and beautiful movie character with everyone and everyone is mean to her because wth,” a second netizen who supported tweeted. Third fan demanded“This text is filled with manipulation and gaslighting and you just love it? Damn, people really want to hate women.”
Meanwhile, this cyber citizen pointed out, “Honestly I was on his side until he said “I gained 3 pounds and you called me fat,” if that’s true, then you’re no better.” They also stated that the suspected Sayfari had “told her the truth after she ASKED her,” and concluded, “YOU ALL ALIENED ME WITH MEN, shame on you.”

Last month, Rehxa bravely applauded critics who tried to shame her body after she gained weight. The Blast reports that the “Break My Heart Myself” singer took action by posting a mirror selfie of herself in the bathroom with her midsection exposed on Twitter.
He paired the image with a screenshot of a Google search with multiple keywords, including “bebe rexha fat halftime,” “bebe rexha coachella fat” and “bebe rexha getting fat same.” At the top of the two shots, the MTV Video Music Award winner typed, “Yeah, I’m in my fat era, so what?”
“The year is 2023, and people still won’t stop talking about your body…. like,” one person angrily replied, as another encouraged, “Don’t worry that everyone has that era, the important thing is that you feel good, and humble without pressure!”
Rexha previously spoke about her struggles with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and the inappropriate feedback she received about her weight gain during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in May. As quoted by The Blast, he stated:
“Listen, we’re in the public eye, so that’s bound to happen. I’m much thinner, and I’ve gained some weight – that comes with the territory. I’m not mad about it because it’s true, but when you see things like that, it bothers you.”
The Radio Disney Music Award recipient noted that no one really knows what other people are “going through in their lives, so it’s hard.” However, he believes that since “we’re in 2023, we shouldn’t be talking about people’s weight.”
