In chat with Hollywood Reporter Chris Gardner, Thorne recalled choosing not to sign photos of himself for individuals.

The actress met the person during the premiere of Eddie Alcazar’s “Divinity” at the annual Sundance Film Festival in January.

He said, per Insider, “It was this guy, and he shoved a picture in front of me and I looked away for a second and looked back, and there was a photo of me from the cover of my GQ magazine. It’s very sexy, and my butt is out., and I’m wearing underwear, and I’m topless.”

Thorne, who stars in the science fiction thriller, insisted that he refused to sign the photo because of its risqué nature. However, the fan refused to accept his decision but tried to trick him into signing it.

He added, “I said I’m not going to sign it and he took it and then put it back in front of me. I said, ‘No, I didn’t sign it.'”

The individual then asked Thorne to sign a second image after the actress refused to budge from her stance.

Thorne also recalled, “He pulled out another magazine photo with another sexy image. He was like, ‘Come on, Bella. Sign it for me.”

Realizing that the new photo was no different from the previous one, Thorne again dismissed it, describing the individual’s desire as “inappropriate.”

He added that some of the photos were taken from the Candy campaign that he shot when he was 16 years old.

“It was clear that he wanted me to sign something that was seen as sexy and even underage and I was like, ‘Give me something else.’ He said, ‘Aren’t they all hot?’ No, that’s enough,” the “Midnight Sun” star said at the time.

Although she ended up not signing any lewd photos, Thorne shared she understood why the individual persisted.

“But I understand, they have to make money, and everyone has a job so I got it,” the actress said, hinting at how the picture would be worth more if she signed it.

Elsewhere in the interview, she drew parallels between the experience and one of her upcoming short films, which deals with the challenges women face in today’s society.

She said, “It’s about growing up and being told from a very young age or through experience that life as a woman means that people are either going to take something from you or you’re going to give it to them. It’s not always your choice. And how do you deal with that? “
