This is just rubbish.
Americans have ranked Britain as the best country in the world, according to a new survey by US News & World Report — and we’re not even second.
The outlet surveyed 17,000 respondents from 36 countries and crunched the data to see how Americans alone ranked the country.
Behind Britain for “best country” is beautiful New Zealand, followed by the United States (finally) in third place.
Sign in at No. 4 is Australia, then Sweden in fifth place, followed by Canada, Japan, France, Switzerland and Germany, which just made the list at No. 10.
In past years, Switzerland has topped the list, but this year, the country has been dropped eight places by US survey participants. The UK rose eight places meanwhile.

In the overall survey of 36 countries, America ranked fifth, with Switzerland taking the top spot.
The survey gathered “perceptions of 87 countries across 73 descriptive attributes.”
Americans do pat themselves on the back for their entrepreneurial spirit, having strong consumer brands and providing easy access to capital.
The rest of the world also rated US No. 1 in this field.
Americans give themselves the highest marks for having “culturally significant entertainment,” being a pioneer in animal rights, having a developed legal system, and being a global leader and a place they want to live.

Unfortunately, the rest of the world doesn’t feel the same way about us, with Brazil ranked No. 1 for culturally significant entertainment and the UK, again, has the best and most developed legal framework, among other attributes.
There are certain qualities we admit we lack — such as transparency in government and business practices, and income equality.
Notably, there was little change in how Americans viewed other countries, such as Myanmar, which moved up 27 places, and Ukraine, which moved up 22 places.
Countries that fell in our eyes include Russia, at 15 places, and Bahrain, at 24 places.
The survey results come just months after Paris earned the title of best city in the world in Euromonitor International’s Top 100 Destination Cities — not NYC.
The Big Apple only came in at No. 10.
