Biden slams Hamas for using its people as human shields amid ‘worse massacre of Jewish people since Holocaust’

President Biden blasted Hamas on Saturday for carrying out the “worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust” while risking the lives of its own Palestinians.

“Over 1,300 innocent lives were lost in Israel, including at least 27 Americans. Children and grandparents alike were kidnapped, held hostage by Hamas,” said the commander-in-chief while speaking at the Human Rights Campaign’s annual dinner.

“The humanitarian crisis in Gaza: innocent Palestinian families — and most of them unrelated to Hamas — are being used as human shields.”

Biden has been unequivocal in condemning the “sheer atrocities” committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7, when they launched a multi-front invasion of Israel.

After slaughtering innocent civilians – including hundreds of babies – the violent group took 150 hostages and dragged them to the Gaza Strip, which Israel has bombed relentlessly in an attempt to recover its kidnapped population.

Biden told the crowd that he spent an hour on Friday speaking with the families of 16 unidentified Americans who are either missing in Israel or detained in the Gaza Strip.

Grieving families are suffering from an unknown “suffering”, he said.

Biden compared their grief to the moment he learned his first wife Neilia and their daughter Naomi were killed in a car accident in 1972, leaving his sons Beau and Hunter in an unknown condition.

“Uncertainty in two or three hours trying to get back to know, it’s the worst feeling in the world it’s heartbreaking,” said the president before quickly returning to the war sparked by terrorists.

Biden’s speech largely focused on LGBTQ+ issues, particularly transgender rights, which have been a major talking point in the 2024 presidential debate and campaign.

The Democratic incumbent reiterated his promise to protect LGBTQ+ people and touted legislation his administration is working to pass, including rejecting an “outdated” policy that bans gay and bisexual men from donating blood.

“This is the United States! And the extreme MAGA Republicans are trying to undo almost every bit of progress we’ve made,” Biden said before listing some of the policies GOP leaders have pushed for, such as banning the pride flag from flying on public land.

“Who exactly –?” Biden began before stopping himself, stating that the curse was “not very presidential.”
