There seems to be no end in sight to Bill Cosby’s legal troubles.
The one-time idol actor has been hit with multiple allegations by a group of women, who claim he used his “massive power, fame and prestige” to sexually abuse them. The allegations were documented in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Nevada following the elimination of the statute of limitations for sexual assault cases.
Nine Women Accuse Bill Cosby of Taking Advantage of Them After Giving Drugs.
Several women who have accused Cosby of sexual abuse in the past have filed a new lawsuit seeking a jury trial against the 85-year-old man in Nevada. The suit was filed by nine women, including Janice Dickinson, Lise Lotte-Lublin, Janice Baker-Kinney, Rebecca Cooper, Linda Kirkpatrick, Pam Joy Abeyta, Angela Leslie, Heidi Thomas, and Lili Bernard, who acted against the battered actress. series, “The Cosby Show.”
Bernard claims in the suit that the actor lured him from New York in 1990 to Nevada by posing as an ‘acting mentor’ who had arranged meetings with several Hollywood producers.
However, when he arrived in Las Vegas, the “Little Bill” star reportedly told him that the producer couldn’t make the meeting and invited him to his hotel room for what he called a mentoring session.

The actress claims that she ended up drinking non-alcoholic beer that Cosby had apparently drugged, allowing the “I Spy” star to rape her when she became dizzy and disoriented.
Likewise, Dickinson claims in documents that the comedian invited her to Lake Tahoe in 1982, stating that he wanted to discuss a potential role on his television show. The model stated that they had gone to dinner, where she complained about her periods, and Cosby responded by giving her pills that he said would ease her pain.
Once she became distraught, the actor allegedly took her to his hotel suite, where he raped her. Both women said the father of five engaged in sexual acts with them when they did not have the physical or mental capacity to consent or resist.
Ultimately, the nine plaintiffs argued that Cosby “used his great power, fame, and prestige, and claimed interest in helping them and their careers as a pretense to isolate and sexually assault them.” They also assert that they have suffered embarrassment, mental anguish, emotional distress, and humiliation and want him to pay damages.
Meanwhile, Newspapers and Journals reported that the women’s ability to file the lawsuit was helped by Gov. Joe Lombardo’s repeal of a two-year deadline for adults to file sexual abuse cases in Nevada. The change was strongly advocated by Lublin, who previously accused Cosby of giving her spiked drinks and raping her at a Las Vegas hotel in 1989.
Similarly, the media personality’s career is in the hole amid the scandals that have followed him. For starters, a civil suit filed by Judy Huth accusing the actress of sexually assaulting her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 when she was just 15 years old led to the suspension of the Grammy winner’s tour.
As reported by The Blast, Temple University alumni publicist Andrew Wyatt revealed in September 2021 that his client’s tour was suspended indefinitely due to a dark cloud hanging over his head.

Wyatt explained it was the best course of action because Hutch’s lawyers could use anything Cosby said during the visit against him in court. He also explained that the decision was made with his client’s safety in mind and showed no lack of interest from the sponsor.

Talk of the event rekindled last December when Cosby announced he was planning a tour. That moment came when he appeared on Scott Spears’ “WGH Talk,” where he was asked if his plans as an independent in 2023 included him touring. In response, the creator of “Fat Albert” stated:
“Yes. Yes, because I got a lot of fun in this narration. Years ago, maybe ten years ago, I found it better to say it after I wrote it.
The announcement immediately caused some backlash on social media, with this person tweeting, “It’s wild how Bill Cosby acted blind and weak during his trial, and now he’s back to visit since he got out. I hope people show up and mock him again.”
Another outraged observer, as quoted by The Blast, added, “It seems like just yesterday that Bill Cosby was too sick, too old, and had too many “medical conditions” to stay in prison. Now suddenly, he’s well enough to go visit. Funny how it works! Evil scam.”
In case you missed it, the Golden Globe winner was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting a Temple University employee, Andrea Constand, in 2018. However, he only spent about three years in prison when Pennsylvania’s highest court quickly released him from prison in 2021, declaring that he had been unjustly accused.
