Bob Saget’s Widow Opened Up On Her Grieving Process

Kelly Rizzo, widow of “Full House” star Bob Saget recently talked about how she handles the grieving process. After meeting online three years earlier, the host and Saget tied the knot in 2018.

In February this year, the comedian was reportedly found dead in his hotel room in Florida from what was eventually revealed to be head trauma. At the time, Saget was in the middle of his stand-up comedy tour and, the day before, had performed at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Florida.

During a recent fundraiser in Saget’s honor, Rizzo revealed that while he’s trying to move on, he’s had some unexpected days. The actress also said she has decided to be grateful for their time together rather than miss it.

The 43-year-old told E! News that her grief over the incident “fluctuates” and comes in “pairs”. She revealed that despite the bad days, she coped with his loss by “choosing to be happy” and grateful for their time together rather than sad about the loss.

Rizzo said, “I choose gratitude and thankfulness for the time we had together over sadness that our time was cut short.”

The host also advises everyone going through the same grieving process to understand that the whole process comes in different phases. He said, “Knowing they can get to a place that feels better, that it will pass. The sadness will pass. It will be like a wave. It comes in, washes over you, and then it passes, and then you feel better.”
