It takes a “nepo baby” to know a “nepo baby.”
Here’s what Bono’s daughter, Eve Hewson, had to say about the CEO New York Magazine.
Okay, so on December 19th, NYMag published an article titled, “Hollywood’s Grossly Overanalyzed Nepo-Baby Boom.”

If you’re not familiar with the term “nepo-baby,” Explosion will fill you up.
“Nepo” is short for nepotism which is defined as, “the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives, friends, or colleagues especially by giving them jobs.”
So “nepo babies” are basically children born into wealth, fame, fortune or all of the above. Some high profile “nepo babies” include Zöe Kravitz, Dakota Johnson, the Kardashians, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, John David Washington, Ben Platt, and the list goes on.

Hewson is an actor and definitely a “nepo-baby” considering his father was the frontman of U2.
While he doesn’t deny that he’s a “nepo baby”, he takes issue with people who DON’T admit to being one and being hypocritical.
He recently contacted the CEO NYMagPamela Wasserstein, for also being a “nepo baby.”
Just a little reminder, that is NYMag which published a major exposé on “nepo-babies.”
Via Twitter, Hewson wrote, “In a wonderful turn of events, I was just informed that Pamela Wasserstein, CEO of @NYMag, is a nepo baby herself. Her father bought the magazine in 2004.”

One from the Twitter handle @dublin_amanda replied, “You are seriously turning a corner. I don’t think anyone expects you to give up the role or hand over the cash… they just expect you to acknowledge the fact that you didn’t get there on your own. This, this makes you look a bit spoiled.”
Hewson responded, “I assure you Amanda I have talked about this a million times. This is basically all I was asked. And I really, really appreciate how lucky I am in life. I’m just laughing here! Please don’t take anything I tweet too seriously. Lots of love xx.”

Many nepo babies are starved of these basics in childhood because their parents may be narcissists. ½,” he tweeted on December 19. “And the entertainment business is not parent-friendly, for example. Traveling/ shooting for months. It’s hard to see your own privilege when you’re still processing childhood trauma, and most of these kids don’t understand that yet.”
