Actor Matthew Perry died on Saturday night of drowning at the age of 54.

“Little Miss Sunshine” actress Abigail Breslin revealed that, although she doesn’t know Matthew Perry personally, “Friends” is her favorite show and Perry Chandler’s character has continued to bring her laughs all year.
“I don’t know Matthew Perry personally but my heart aches for his passing. ‘Friends’ will always be my favorite show,” he wrote. “It took me through the loss of my best friend, countless breakups, and then it took me through the loss of my father in 2021. The show, and Chandler’s character, have continued in my life, brought me laughter, joy and comfort at times. I was at my lowest.”
“For this, I thank you, Matthew Perry. I thank you so much for the endless laughter and joy your show has given me and so many others,” he concluded. “I hope you rest in peace… my condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.”

“Modern Family” actress and “Friends” costar Paget Brewster, best known for her recurring role as Kathy on the NBC sitcom’s fourth season, spoke to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that she was always “beautiful” for him on the set of the show .
“So sad to hear about @MatthewPerry. He was so good to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after that. Please read his book. It is his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace,” she wrote, adding, “He’s been too busy making everyone laugh over there.”
