Looks like things got a little crazy for Britney Spears on Wednesday night.
He was planning to dine at the Catch restaurant at the ARIA hotel in Las Vegas when he approached Victor Wembanyama hoping to take a picture together. However, a security guard mistook him for an overzealous fan and reportedly slapped him in the face.
Although the 41-year-old pop star was seated at the restaurant, his party was placed in the same booth occupied by Pauly Shore, who had gotten up to use the bathroom and left his belongings.

Although the security guard who slapped the “Hold Me Closer” singer has not faced any charges, the drama is far from over. According to ET, Pauly Shore had to be moved to another table after Britney’s party sat in his booth when she got up to use the bathroom. Individuals who were dining at the Catch restaurant at the same time told TMZ that Pauly Shore was sitting at a booth at the restaurant.
He got up to use the restroom, leaving his phone, glasses, and fan pack in the stall. However, the restaurant staff mistakenly thought the table was empty and instead hosted Britney’s party there. When Pauly returned to his seat, Britney’s party was sitting there. Eyewitnesses told the outlet that Britney’s security team prevented Pauly from going to the booth, but eventually let him through after he explained the situation.
There seems to be no bad blood over the incident. Britney and Pauly laugh about the situation and Britney’s manager, Cade Hudson, returns Pauly’s things to her. The restaurant staff then escorted Pauly to a different table. It’s unclear if Pauly actually saw the slap happen, or if he was in the restroom at the time.

On Thursday night, the 19-year-old French athlete spoke about the incident in a video shared by KENS reporter Nate Ryan on Twitter. He explained that, despite the crowd that had gathered, there was “one” who kept calling his name over and over.
“That guy grabbed me from behind,” Victor said. “I didn’t see what was happening because I was walking straight and they told me ‘Don’t stop.’ But that person held me from behind, held my shoulder. He grabbed me from behind so I just knew that security pushed him away.”
“I don’t know how much force was used but the security refused. I didn’t stop to look so I kept walking and had a nice dinner,” he added, adding that he “didn’t know” that the woman was really Britney Spears “for a few hours.”

However, Britney took to Instagram on Thursday night to dispute the story and recap what happened in her own words. “I recognized an athlete in the lobby of my hotel when I was on my way to dinner. I then went to a restaurant in another hotel and met him again,” he explained. “I decided to approach him and congratulate him on his success. It was really loud, so I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.”
“I am aware of the players [sic] statement where he said ‘I grabbed him from behind’ but I just patted him on the shoulder,” he wrote. “His security then handed me my face without looking back, in front of the crowd. Almost knocked me over and caused my glasses to come off my face. “

He went on to say that he has yet to receive an apology from Victor, the security guards, or the organization representing the security forces. It is said, he is not against the athlete. On Friday night, he took to Instagram to say that he had never seen a security guard hit someone, even when he was around famous bands like NSYNC.
However, he is not against the NBA star. “However, I’m still a big fan of NBA players … it’s not his fault he hit me … sh*t happened !!!” he wrote. However, fans certainly held it against the athlete, slamming him pretty hard on Twitter after his lackluster NBA debut on Friday night.
