The 41-year-old pop star has made it no secret that her family wouldn’t let her drink coffee during her 13-year conservatory and it seems she’s now making up for lost time, as a source revealed that the “Hold Me Closer” singer is consuming coffee and energy drinks “non-stop.”

On Wednesday, TMZ was the first to report that the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer was drinking caffeine “by the gallon.” However, the outlet notes that experts say this is “not surprising for people with mental illness.” Dr. Drew told TMZ that while it’s not “particularly healthy” to drink too much caffeine, people who “suffer from mental illness crave a high from this drink.”
An insider told the outlet that the 41-year-old singer consumes coffee, Red Bull, Celsius, and dandelion tea (which is said to produce a diuretic effect) “almost non-stop.” The source later said that he had been awake for three days straight from all the caffeine he was drinking.

In the caption of an Instagram post from September 2022, the “Toxic” singer opened up about the alleged abuse she alleged she suffered under a conservatorship for 13 years, which began in February 2008 and was sentenced to death by a judge in November 2021.
“It’s very hard for me to accept the fact that my family did that to me … it will be hard for me all my life ? … for my Mom and Dad who sat and hid coffee from me at home to wake me up from death and fear like an old woman … and dumped me … I’ll say it loud and proud … I pray you both burn in the h—,” she wrote referring to both her parents.

Britney reached out to her mom, Lynne Spears, in another Instagram post from July 2022. “Do you even tell people how you hide your coffee every morning???” Britney asked, going on to say that there was no picture of her hanging in the kitchen of her family home.
“Do you tell them every morning when I try to find coffee there’s no picture of me in the kitchen, just Maddie and Jamie Lynn ????” he asked. “Every morning I will put my picture by all of you … and every morning you will save it before I wake up !!!”
