Pop star Britney Spears opens up more about her incident with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, in her upcoming memoir, “The Woman In Me.”
The storybook-all mentions all members of the Spears family, including her father, Jamie Spears, her mother, Lynne Spears, and even her brother Bryan Spears. However, after the “Zoey 101” star released her own memoir, “Things I Should Have Said,” in January 2022, it seems Britney plans to refute some of Jamie Lynn’s allegations, especially when it comes to the controversial 13-year conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021.

Over the weekend, sources told Us Weekly that Briney Spears spoke about her mental health throughout 2019 in her memoir “The Woman In Me.” After being checked into the facility by her father, Jamie Spears, Britney claims that she called the “Sweet Magnolias” actress for help. However, Jamie Lynn reportedly told her sister that Britney should “stop fighting her” because there was “nothing” she could do to make things better.
Britney ended up spending thirty days in a treatment center, which prompted an outpouring of support for the singer at the time. In April 2019, Jamie Lynn used Instagram to shut down rumors that she didn’t support her sister “I’ve been here long before anyone else, and I’ll be here long after. I love my sister with everything I have. So, anyone or anything that speaks otherwise can GTFOH with all the comments about things you don’t understand,” he wrote at the time, according to the outlet. “Don’t come for me or my loved ones again.”

Two years later, in June 2021, Britney gave an emotional statement at a court hearing about her controversial conservatorship, which she began fighting for in 2018. “The main reason I’m here is because I want to end the conservatorship without being judged,” she said at the time, as in the store. “I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years, and that’s enough.”
“I honestly want to sue my family, to be honest with you. I also want to be able to share my story with the world, and what they did to me, instead of being a secret to benefit them all,” added Britney.

At the time, Jamie Lynn responded to rumors that she didn’t do enough to support her sister, writing on Instagram, “Maybe I didn’t support her as much as people wanted me to with hashtags on public platforms, but I can assure you that I have supported my sister me long before there was a hashtag. And I’ll be supporting it long after. Watch that.”
“I am very proud of him for using his voice. I am very proud of him for asking for a new lawyer as I told him to do a few years ago,” he continued. “If finishing conservatorship or flying to Mars or whatever he wants to do [will make her happy] — I support that, 100 percent. Because I support my sister. I love my sister. Always have, always will. As long as he is happy. Let’s keep praying. That all.”

Following the release of her memoir, “Things I Should Have Said” in January 2022, Jamie Lynn Spears told Good Morning America “The love is still there, 100 percent. I love my sister,” adding, “I’ve only ever loved and supported her and done what that’s right by her, and she knows that. So I don’t know why we’re in this position right now. … I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter, so when she needs help, I provide a way to do that.”
However, at the time, Britney took to social media to ask her sister to “please, please stop with this crazy lie for the Hollywood books” and also called her sister “garbage,” as previously reported by The Blast. “I hope you’ll take a lie detector test so all this crowd can see you’re lying through your teeth about me!!!” Britney wrote at the time. “I hope almighty, God can come down and show the whole world that you are lying and taking money from me!!!”
Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
