The former “Cheetah Girls” Star’s precious bundle of joy arrived earlier this month. However, the news of her pregnancy was kept a secret from Bailon’s loved ones, coupled with the always noisy media.
Although the “Cheetah Sisters” singer previously shared details about her conception issue to support those in the same situation. The weight of failure to grow a family is more challenging than the TV personality imagines. On December 11, 2021, the new mother learns that her privately hired surrogate is pregnant. However, the “That’s So Raven” actor’s emotions prevented him from revealing this information.

Instead, the former talk show co-host of “The Real” decided to surprise her loved ones by keeping the newest addition to the Bailon-Houghton clan a secret. As soon as the news became known, the New Yorker’s family was shocked and amazed at the ability of the entertainer to hide the conception of his son. In the words of the 38-year-old:
“Even my sister, who watched The Real all last season, literally said to me, ‘Adrienne, I’m in awe.’ He was like, ‘I’m so proud of you. You really nailed this.’ I do that because it’s really sacred to me.”

Although the Disney alum wanted to share the exciting news with the world, the media personality managed to keep it a secret. But, she finally gave in and told six people about her child’s pregnancy. The mother-of-one may have done this to avoid her anxiety as the retired talk show host admitted to the news outlet that she felt very vulnerable.

Following eight failed in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments and one miscarriage, the “I’m in Love with a Church Girl” star suffered mental exhaustion. This is why the actress prioritized her health by keeping quiet about her baby. “It’s important to me for my own mental well-being and for my family,” Bailon admitted. “I was just like, ‘I’m not going to say anything.’ It’s actually very peaceful that way. You don’t have other people’s opinions.”
Not having the public or loved ones pester her with questions about surrogacy has finally become important for the “All Things Adrienne” star. According to the mother of one, staying sober for nine months was difficult because she was never interested in taking the surrogacy route. However, things changed when the couple thought they were left with the last viable embryo.

“I have to be honest, even the replacement process can be very stressful,” Bailon said. “Other people take your child with them. We call it extreme childcare for nine months. It can make you really anxious,” she added. The founder of the XIXI jewelry line added that leaving her baby in someone else’s hands left her plagued with thoughts about her son’s condition.
However, worrying about the situation itself is better than having someone else question her about the baby. The 38-year-old admitted that keeping his son a secret gave him “a little joy and something to look forward to.”

As previously reported by The Blast, Bailon’s status as a new mother filled the entertainer with immense joy as she got to commemorate the milestone. Through her Instagram Stories, the 38-year-old shared a photo of her newly tattooed hand, which was designed by artist Michelle Santana.
The artwork features the name of Bailon’s son, Ever, written in a curly font and inked under the TV personality’s little finger. In the second post, the doting mother hugs her baby while hiding her face. For her third and final post, the former talk show host shared a photo of a Styrofoam coffee cup with the words “Ever’s Mami” emblazoned on the side.
