Singer Britney Spears made sure her fans knew exactly how she felt about Tuesday night’s disturbing incident.
On Tuesday night, around 11 p.m., law enforcement officers showed up at Britney’s door after not one but several fans reportedly contacted the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office to request that they perform a welfare check on the 41-year-old pop star’s home.
The reason? The “Hold Me Closer” singer deleted her Instagram account, which is something she has done several times in the past. However, it appears this is the first time some of her millions of fans have decided to call the police on her for deactivating a social media account, and it seems Britney is, understandably, upset about the ordeal.

Briefly Twitter message posted Thursday afternoon, the “Toxic” singer called out her fans for making “prank phone calls,” which led to law enforcement officers showing up at her door.
“As everyone knows the police were called to my house based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went too far and my privacy was invaded,” Britney wrote. “The police never entered my house and when they came to my gate, they immediately realized there was no problem and immediately left.”
“It feels like I was bullied and bullied as soon as the incident hit the news and was once again portrayed in a bad and unfair light by the media,” he continued. “Throughout my life, I really hope that the public and my fans that I love so much can respect my privacy moving forward.”

At this point, it remains to be seen if the “Slumber Party” singer ever plans to return to Instagram given what just happened. Britney has deactivated her Instagram account several times over the past year without incident.
Last month, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer told her millions of Instagram followers that she had “accidentally” deleted her Instagram account, writing, “I know my Instagram has been down a few times but honestly I did the last. twice myself!!! Ouch … I pressed the wrong button … b*mn that stupid button !!!”

Britney has been sharing more photos and footage featuring her dancing and trying on interesting outfits from her closet over the past few weeks, although there’s no denying that some of the captions on her posts have confused fans.
Last Thursday, Britney shared an Instagram post saying she wanted to change her name to “River Red” after saying she wanted to change her name to “Brooklyn” just a few weeks ago.
