Pop star Britney Spears opened up about a kiss that didn’t seem to make it into her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” which was released last October.
While the “Toxic” singer is getting closer to finalizing her divorce from actor Sam Asghari, she took to Instagram on Wednesday to admit that she once dated another actor… Ben Affleck!

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari met on the set of the “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. The two got engaged in September 2021, just two months before their controversial 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021. The two tied the knot in June 2022, but in August 2023, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actress filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
As the two move on from their divorce, it seems the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer has been reflecting on her former flame. On Wednesday evening, the 42-year-old pop star took to Instagram to share a black and white photo of herself posing next to singer Diane Warren and actor Ben Affleck at a party.
“Great picture of me and Ben Affleck and Diane Warren last year ?? !!! He is an amazing actor. Did I fail to mention I made out with Ben that night … I totally forgot … d— that was crazy !!! I wish I could tell you all the stories that happened before that!!! Oh dear, I’m just being a gossip girl ?? !!! Psss I actually forgot ????? !!!” she wrote in the caption.
Britney Spears shared a memorable photo with Ben Affleck and revealed she dated him in 1999:

The “Crossroads” actress then followed it up with another Instagram post with a caption that read, “Is it a crime to be a woman in this world??? No wonder I never got invited!!! Playing me for a fool…no thanks ?? ♀️ !!! It’s been a long time so forgive me in advance !!!”
It should be noted that the 51-year-old actor has yet to respond to Britney’s allegations. The “Deep Water” actor has been married to Jennifer Lopez since 2022. He was previously married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018.

In her own statement, Sam took to her Instagram story to ask the media to be “kind and considerate” as the two split up. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will hold on to the love and respect we have for each other and I wish him the best. S— happened. Asking for privacy apparently [ridiculous] so I would just ask everyone including the media to be kind and considerate.”
On February 1, Sam Asghari submitted financial statements and other documents to speed up the divorce process. The filing, known as a disclosure declaration, is the last step before finalizing a divorce. Some of the documents Sam submitted included a list of assets, as well as separate and community properties.
As The Blast previously reported, although Britney had previously paid the rent for Sam’s luxury apartment in Los Angeles, it appears that is no longer the case as the two take a step closer to being declared legally single.
