Pop star Britney Spears is sharing new details about her mother, Lynne Spears, in her upcoming memoir, “The Woman In Me.”

On Tuesday, People magazine published some excerpts from Britney’s life ahead of the release of her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” next Tuesday. In one excerpt, Britney revealed that she would drink daiquiris with her mother when she was only in the eighth grade.
“For fun, starting when I was in eighth grade, my mom and I would drive two hours from Kentwood to Biloxi, Mississippi, and while we were there, we would drink daiquiris. We called our cocktail ‘toddy,’” Britney wrote in her memoir.

“I like that I get to drink with my mom from time to time,” he said, noting that his mother’s drinking habits were not as bad as his father’s were said to be.
“The way we drink is not the way my dad did it,” Britney wrote. “When he drinks, he becomes more depressed and withdrawn. We become happier, more alive, and adventurous.”
