In May, a source told Page Six that, after her suffocating conservatory that ran from February 2008 to November 2021, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer had no plans to tour again, although music was still her “pride and joy.” .”

The source said that Britney was “traumatized by the tour,” adding, “For years, she’s been given grueling travel schedules and made to perform — even before her conservatorship.” However, they noted that Britney reached a turning point in 2018 “when her residency in Las Vegas finally ended but her team decided to turn it into an international tour” with more than thirty concerts across North America and Europe.

“He really needed a break after four years in Vegas and didn’t get it. The source made sure to explain that Britney “still loves to dance and make music,” adding, “She has been talking about recording again and has had many offers, some of which she has turned down, but it’s all about timing and choosing the right project. She clever like that.”

“The beauty of Britney being free again is that she can make calls for the first time in a very long time, and she’s going to do it at her own pace,” they added.

While the “Toxic” singer could always change her mind, Britney has made it clear for years that she’s done with touring. In December 2021, she took to Instagram in a since-deleted post to tell her followers “I don’t think I want to do it anymore” and said touring was “too much” for her.

“I know I don’t play big arenas with my loud band anymore but I’ll be honest and say life on the road is tough!!!” Britney wrote at the time. “My first three years in the business and on the road were great but I’ll be completely honest and say that after those three tours and the pace I went through… I don’t think I want to do it anymore!!! “

“I hate!!! I read an interview a long time ago where Will Smith said the music industry is a different animal than film!!!” he continued. “I agree it’s too much!!!”

“I’ve been in the music industry for over half my life!!! I was told by someone who directed the movie that the music industry is a different animal … especially tourism!!!” Britney wrote. “It’s fun at first but if you’ve been doing it for a while, being in a different city always gets really tiring !!! I’ve done like 10 tours!!!”

While fans hope otherwise, it doesn’t seem likely… at least, not right now.
