While the memoir dives deep into her conservatorship, her estranged family, and her love life, it also focuses on smaller moments in her life, such as the terrifying paranormal experience that followed her public breakup with Justin Timberlake in 2002.

In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” Britney opened up about the paranormal events that occurred while she was driving through the Arizona desert following her split from the “Cry Me A River” singer in 2002.
In her memoir, she recalled that she was driving through Arizona with a friend who was also going through a breakup. Britney felt like she was living under a “curse” from the breakup and they both used the trip to escape and clear their heads.
In his storybook, he recalls how they drove at night under the starry sky with the top down in his convertible. In December 2022, the Princess of Pop compared her car to a “spaceship” and reflected on how much she loved driving it in a since-deleted Instagram post. In the caption, she recalled how she argued with her then-husband Sam Asghari, who filed for divorce on August 16, 2023.
The two met on the set of his “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. In September 2021, Sam popped the question, two months before a controversial 13-year conservatorship ended. The pair tied the knot in June 2022 but reports of trouble in their relationship began when the pair were photographed out and about without their wedding rings a few months later.
The “Crossroads” actor began explaining how the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor thought he had “gone crazy” in part due to his new meditation practice. The pop star has opened up about fasting and meditation on Instagram, but apparently Sam has never been a fan. “I’m that meditation b—- now ??♀️… my husband doesn’t like it … he thinks I’m crazy. My masseuse always does it and she looks so calm … I’m like wow … looks interesting,” she wrote at the time.

Britney later explained that she sometimes forgets to eat, especially when she’s upset. He also admits that he can be “too sensitive” when he senses things are wrong, especially in his relationships. “Falling deep into myself … I’m saying all this because I’m trying to take care of myself,” she wrote. “Usually I forget to eat … I wait too long and I’m too sensitive so if anything goes wrong at home, it’s like the world has come to an end.”
It’s not clear whether Sam’s mention that she had “gone crazy” led to the argument between the former couple, but she did reveal that she was “crying so d—” that she had to retreat to her car to calm herself. “So, I got into my car yesterday and I cried … I cried a lot, but oh man, my car is my spaceship ? … that’s where I have my best interests, thoughts, creative impulses, ideas, that’s spiritual … is truly spiritual and we are ‘all in this together on the road,’ he wrote. “So, I don’t feel alone unless that big 18-wheeler comes and goes down the road and I want to— to myself … but it’s time … my own inner thoughts.”
Britney Spears’ memoir, “The Woman In Me,” was officially released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
