Britney Spears Drops 22-Minute Video Sharing Her Story

Singer Britney Spears dropped a 22-minute video on YouTube on Sunday to tell her story “openly.”

The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer revealed that she has had many opportunities to tell her story on Oprah and through other interviews, but she wants to share her story directly with others to help them feel less “alone.”

Britney said that conservatorship actually started when she was 25 years old. He said that he remembered his mother sitting on the sofa and telling him that people would talk to him. Britney said she openly wondered who was coming to talk to her and thought it was a lawyer.

He then said, four hours later, he was in an ambulance and there were over two hundred paparazzi outside the house trying to take pictures of him. He said that there were “no drugs” and “no alcohol” in his system. He said the conservatorship was a “setup” and “pure abuse.”

He said his father, Jamie Spears, wanted “control” and mentioned that his father was really hard on his older brother, Bryan Spears, and noticed this controlling tendency when he played football when he was younger. She also claimed that she was “never allowed to leave or go anywhere” under her father’s controlling rule.

Brittney said that she was told she was “fat” every day and had to go to the gym while she was working on her “Circus” album. He said he felt “demoralized” and they made him feel “like nothing.” He described how he wasn’t allowed to “go anywhere” and how, especially during his Las Vegas Residency, many of his friends seemed to abandon him while he was stuck on a hectic work schedule.

“I just had to play this role that everything was fine all the time,” Britney continued, explaining how her friends would go to parties and drink when she wasn’t allowed. At one point, Britney remembered how her friends went to the spa, and Britney wasn’t allowed in for some reason. He said they didn’t “acknowledge” him and described it as “disheartening.”

At this point, Britney said that she was 30 years old under her father’s rule and that she was not happy to see her entire family – especially her mother, Lynne Spears, and her brother, go along with her suffocating conservatorship.

Britney said that she actually saw her followers on the “morning show” during the height of the #FreeBritney movement wearing pink t-shirts with slogans to support her. At one point, Britney said that she heard a supporter say that they felt in their hearts that something was wrong with her and that she needed help.

However, Britney said that it was “confusing” that “people in the street” were fighting for her, and that her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her mother were not there to support her. Britney said that she believes that her mother and sister actually liked her to be a “bad person” and was shocked and upset that her family let her conservatorship go on for so long. His conservation, which began in February 2008, does not end until November 2021.

Britney said that she really felt like her family was “throwing away [her] go,” and laments how seriously he takes his work when no one appreciates it, saying, “I’m a machine. I’m a f—ing machine. Not even human. It’s crazy how hard I work.”
