It looks like Britney Spears and Sir Elton John may have a music video in an effort to promote their new song “Hold Me Closer.”
A remix of his 1971 hit single “Tiny Dancer” has topped the charts and both singers have been vocal in thanking fans for the song’s success. Given the song’s popularity, it makes sense that they’d also want to try to break some music video records, which is why one is reportedly in the works!

On Saturday morning, a day after the song was released on August 26, a source close to Britney Spear and Elton John told TMZ that a music video for “Hold Me Closer” is definitely in the works. However, the source could not say what the music video will look like or even if the two stars will appear in it.
Regardless, it looks like Britney is definitely making a comeback in the industry. The source revealed that she was also invited to this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards, but had to turn it down due to a scheduling conflict in Los Angeles.

Currently, sources indicate that Britney will not be joining Elton John on tour, or releasing any new songs, but fans are hoping all of her success with “Hold Me Closer” inspires her to restart her career. This is his first song in six years, and his first since the 13-year conservatorship ended last November.

Hours after the song dropped, the “Gimme More” singer posted a video sitting naked in a tub saying “Hello Sir Elton John” in a fake British accent. He then said, “We’re like #1 in 40 countries” before he yelled, “HOLY S—” into the camera, which zoomed in on his face.
“I’m in the bathtub right now and I’m going to go have the best day and I hope you’re well,” she added before the video cut off.

The “Rocket Man” singer posted her video message to her own Instagram account, adding, “Hey Britney!! Thanks for this message. You made my day!! Hope everyone has the best day dancing to our song!”
In a separate Instagram post, she wrote, “I’m thrilled with the response to Hold Me Closer! I wanted to make a fun and happy summer song, so it was great when Britney agreed to be a part of it! She is truly an icon, one of the great pop stars of all time and I love her so much. I hope you all like it! ??.”
Fans heaped praise on the post, with one fan writing, “Thank you for bringing our girls back to music!! We love it?❤️.” However, it was actually another deleted Tweet that Britney shared on Friday evening that had fans thinking she would be back making new music and performing again.

The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer deleted her Instagram account a few days ago and has since taken to Twitter to share all her posts. On Friday evening, she posted a video of her dancing with her backup dancer and then promptly deleted it an hour later.
“I was in the studio practicing for 4 hours learning new music proving that my 13 year old heart can still bounce … try !!!!” she wrote in the caption. “This was recorded 3 months before my independent family sent me to sit in a chair for four months, and wouldn’t let me out the front door?? !!!”
He added, “Psss this is from 3 years ago ??♀️?? !!!” in the comments, which has fans eagerly calling her “queen” and calling for a career comeback.

In another since-deleted post, Britney told her fans she was going to have “the best day ever” and then followed it up with some NSFW photos in which she was naked with just a towel on her lap, to celebrate the success of “Hold Me Closer.” He deleted some of them, but others remained awake until Saturday morning.
