Singer Britney Spears has completed her memoir, but it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer to read it.
While previous reports said the 41-year-old pop star’s memoir would be released later this year, just in time for the holiday season, it appears it has been delayed due to legal concerns about some of the things she says in her book.

On Sunday, The US Sun revealed that publishing house Simon & Schuster reportedly received several “stern legal letters” from individuals concerned about what Britney might say in her new memoir.
“Britney was very honest in the book — there were a lot of nervous A-listers,” an insider told the outlet. “Strongly worded legal letters were sent to the publisher by people who knew Britney and who were afraid of what she wrote.”
The insider said that there is “no movement” on the book “at this time.” They also stated that it is still unknown whether “it will eventually be able to come out,” or if it will be cleared for publication at all.

“Britney wants this to be her moment to speak to the world, to tell her story and set the record straight,” a source told the Sun. “There’s a fair amount of throwing people under the bus, talking about past relationships, some of which will be revealed for the first time.”
