The “Toxic” singer is slowly making peace with her brother, Bryan Spears, and sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, amid her divorce from actor Sam Asghari. The 29-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

On Thursday, December 21, a source told TMZ that while Britney hasn’t made any travel arrangements, Lynne hopes Britney will change her mind and visit her daughter.

Shortly after the news made headlines, the “Gimme More” singer took to Instagram to share a quote that read “Dear Past, Thank you for the lessons. Dear Future, I’m ready!” In the lengthy caption, he apologized but admitted that he was “not ready” after everything he’s been through this year. It’s unclear what he’s not ready for, but it may have something to do with coming home to be with his family.
“Father forgive me but I am not ready !!! I’ve been through too much this year and I need to learn how to breathe again and learn to be in the present moment without fear of so many worries,” he began. “Being busy at certain moments has saved my life and I think it’s the pleasure of letting go and the feeling that I miss to create a plan whether it’s riding a horse or whatever.”

“I want to have reason and meaning in my life. Forgive me for the times I feel stuck and just want to cry … forgive me for not being perfect … forgive me if I lose my temper because I feel threatened by the people I love … I’m only human,” she continued.
She ended her post, writing, “Guide and direct me to a beautiful understanding of how to love myself and talk to myself like I used to. Thank you for my baby Snow … he is God to me and I am so grateful to him!!!” Britney introduced Instagram to her new puppy, Snow, about two weeks after Sam Asghari filed for divorce.

Shortly after Britney celebrated her 42nd birthday, a source told People magazine that Britney’s family is working to reconcile with the pop star following the release of her acclaimed memoir “The Woman In Me” in October 2023. A source revealed that Lynne Spears is “really trying to be in Britney’s life.” However, they went on to say that “Britney can be very stubborn” given what she’s been through.
They said the “Crossroads” actor “is still hurting because he feels his mother could have done more to help him” out of conservatorship. Even so, they admitted that the Pop Princess “has very few friends and really needs to be with family,” especially during the holidays.

There’s no doubt about that,” the insider added, saying that Lynne has “profusely apologized to Britney” and “takes full responsibility” for not helping her daughter get out of conservatorship sooner. The controversial 13-year conservatorship lasted from February 2008 to November 2021 and put her father, Jamie Spears, in charge of her personal and financial affairs for most of that time.
Although patriarch Spears, 71, had his leg amputated following five unsuccessful surgeries, it seems Britney has no plans to reconnect with her father amid his health problems. He is however open to improving his relationship with his mother. “Lynne really made an effort to be in Britney’s life. Britney loves spending time with him,” the source said. “They have a complicated relationship, but it seems they both need each other.”
