Singer Britney Spears is finally ready to start using her voice and it looks like she’s created a new alter-ego to help her do it.
A few weeks ago, the 41-year-old pop star posted a picture of the planet Mars and declared that her new name is “River Red” after announcing her intention to change her name to “Brooklyn” late last year.
On Sunday night, the “Hold Me Closer’ posted a photo of her favorite flower, a rose, confirming her new name and her intention to stay on Instagram because she “can.”

In a lengthy Instagram post shared on Sunday, January 29, the “Slumber Party” singer warned people who think they know her story to “think again.”
“Since everyone thinks they know my story. THINK AGAIN !!! Beside any given SUNDAY it does not show worship to put someone’s story out there … it is a WELCOME day … not a true reply !!!” Britney wrote. “It is what happened … no, I’m not damaged … I’m being myself and moving forward in my life.”

After explaining to her followers that she is “not damaged,” Britney went on to declare that her new name is River Red and that she wants to be able to use her voice after finally being released from her controversial conservatorship. The conservatorship officially began in February 2008 and was revoked by a judge in November 2021, about a year ago.
“I have never felt better!!! No, I’m not this girl or that girl … I’m River Red … and being able to raise my voice in a world where I’ve been disenfranchised … for 15 years … gives me a chance to succeed !!!” Britney continued. “The chance to know me is important and maybe if you walk in my shoes, then maybe you can understand.”

It seems Britney is still trying to understand her own limits now that she’s been released from her conservatorship, writing, “Still learning this thing without rules … I don’t feel so limited … I feel younger and amazed … unfortunately I’m boring and drinking hot chocolate at night !!! I have waited almost 15 years to drink alcohol only to realize that I hate it!!!”
“It makes me sad and I feel bloated, even though the food is better … Stay blessed and driven … SIT AND STAY HUMBLE … Nahhh, I’d rather show my a** !!!” he concluded, adding, “PS yes I took my Instagram and now it’s back because I can !!!”

Last week, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer made headlines after she deactivated her account on Tuesday night. Some concerned fans actually called the police department to do a welfare check, which reportedly happened just before midnight. In a short Twitter post, Britney asked her fans to respect her privacy moving forward and restored her Instagram account on Saturday afternoon.

It looks like the “Toxic” singer is still trying to figure out the best lighting for her fashion photos. On Sunday night, she posted a video showing her wearing a white shirt with puffy sleeves and a short green skirt.
In the caption, Britney admitted, “This video shows my first time with RING LIGHT !!! D***, all this time ??? !!! This video isn’t as good as the last one in this outfit because I’m still figuring out how to do it…it’s actually cool and I’m proud of my first attempt at this ring light!!!”
“So shamelessly fishing for compliments ??? yes I understand ??? !!!” he continued. “Or is it better to trust the person next to me to shoot it … just saying !!!”

Looks like “Break The Ice” still doesn’t allow comments back on its videos. In a recent Twitter post, he explained why he shut down his Instagram, which also seems to explain why he shut down comments on his posts a few weeks ago.
“I closed my Instagram because too many people said I looked like an idiot dancing and I looked crazy,” Britney wrote. “To be honest I’ve done my best but it bothers me to see people talking about it on TV … yes it hurts my feelings.”
