Britney Spears is taking an introspective look at a celebrity documentary in her latest Instagram post.
Spears, who is the focus of two documentaries from Netflix and Hulu in 2021, is quite intrigued by Netflix’s new documentary about “Baywatch” star and pop culture figure Pamela Anderson. Anderson, 55, has received similar treatment to Spears as a pop culture spectacle for three decades.

Her marriages to notables Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, and the infamous stolen sex tapes with Lee, are among the hot topics that continue to follow Anderson in the public eye decades later. Hulu adapted his relationship with Lee into a limited series last year.
Spears expressed her thoughts on Anderson’s documentary and focused on certain aspects surrounding the Anderson family that she admires in a lengthy Instagram post, posted Thursday afternoon.

Spears, who deactivated her Instagram account a few weeks ago, is now back sharing her intimate thoughts on the platform. According to our latest report on Spears’ return to Instagram, several fans made calls to local law enforcement, expressing their concern for Spears’ well-being.
The “Sometimes” singer has been quite vocal in the past about her distaste for the documentary.
Last year, Spears shared a screenshot of the article to her Instagram; the article ponders whether Netflix and Hulu documentaries are more exploitative for his mental health. Both documentaries largely cover Spears’ 13-year conservatorship; The conservator position was officially terminated in the fall of 2021.
“I feel like America has done a great job of shaming me…” Spears wrote on Instagram at the time, and would go on to write, “I’ve never felt more bullied in my life in this country. It’s insane… and seriously, is it really legal to make multiple documentaries about someone without their permission at all??!” (via Instagram, per The Blast)

Anderson’s Netflix documentary will provide Spears with plenty of food for thought.
In a black-and-white photo of a child looking on as a child draws a sidewalk chalk picture posted Thursday, Spears will examine her family’s willingness to support the aforementioned documentary, and will further discuss their actions while she was under conservatorship while drawing attention to how the Anderson children saw the documentary and stood by their mother.
“I’m a huge fan of Pamela Anderson,” Spears began her post. “She was the only sex icon at one time in America and she still is !! I really respect the fact that her kids are standing up for her in regards to the fact people are trying to sell her stories from the past!!! They said ‘Why bring up something that happened 20 years ago if it really messed my mom up???”
He later identified similarities between his story and Anderson’s.

… he’s right !!! She went on to say out of shame she went through a very dark period in her life,” Spears continued. “I mean when I read THAT, I was like DAMN!!! With 4 documentaries released about me last year with people I adore talking about my past !!! That alone is almost as hard as what I went through in my past!!!”
Anderson’s memoir “Love, Pamela” was also released recently to coincide with the Netflix documentary. The subject of Spears writing her memoir made headlines last year. In July, it was reported that Spears had reportedly finished writing the book, but the memoir had been delayed due to supply chain issues.
