It seems that Britney Spears believes that Sam Asghari is the person behind the rumors that he was unfaithful to her.
Although several sources are reporting that the 29-year-old actress has filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star over cheating allegations, this has yet to be confirmed. A source called the rumor “rubbish” and said that the “Toxic” singer actually believes that the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor is behind the rumors that he cheated to give her an excuse to break up.

There have been several rumors that the Princess of Pop cheated on the actress, although most fans don’t seem to be buying it. Different sources have reported different things, but on Saturday, September 2, a source told InTouch Weekly that “It broke her heart” when Sam reportedly caught Britney allegedly cheating on him on security camera footage.
The channel actually spoke to two different sources, the second of which seemed to indicate that Sam wasn’t clean either. “There’s a lot of dirty laundry he could air,” a second source said. “But he won’t.” They went on to say that the “Gimme More” singer believes that Sam is “leaking” the “rubbish” accusation that he cheated on her.
“Britney says the accusations are rubbish,” the insider claims. “And it wouldn’t surprise her if Sam started the rumor herself, then leaked it through one of her media friends so she had an excuse to negotiate a bigger settlement or get more out of the prenup.”
“If Sam wants to spread these rumors — or at least not try to dispel them — that’s his prerogative,” they continued. “As far as Britney is concerned, it’s wrong and cruel. He was angry but he tried not to react emotionally and let his lawyer figure it all out.”

There were also allegations of violence between the couple. A source told TMZ that the pop star once gave the actress a black eye while she was sleeping. The insider claims that Sam “often complained” about Britney “getting physical” and that security often had to intervene to keep fights from getting out of hand.
However, there are also claims that Britney has gotten physical with Sam. In a new Hulu special, titled “Britney Spears: Divorce & Despair,” TMZ founder Harvey Levin claims the former couple had a huge fight in London that resulted in Britney needing stitches, as reported by Page Six.
“He and Sam were doing it in a hotel room, and it got really bad [that] he tripped and hit the coffee table, cracking his head,” Levin claimed, adding, “He needed stitches.”
Speaking to InTouch Weekly, the first source claimed that “Britney did hit on Sam, but she wasn’t trying to create some messy scandal. She’s a good person and just wants things to be fair.”

However, a second source doesn’t seem to think Sam is a “good guy” at all and continues to call him “controlling and critical.” They claim “That’s one of the main reasons things didn’t work out” but point out that Britney has friends, especially her dancers, that she has spent time with.
“She can kick back with them and dance and shoot sexy videos,” the source said, adding, “They’re the ones who understand her the most.” They also noted that his brother Bryan had been seen spending time around the house, but noted that he was wary of getting too close to his family again after what happened during his conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021.
“She is adamant that no one is going to control her life anymore,” the source said.

Shortly after the actress filed for divorce on Aug. 16, a source told ET that Britney “insisted” she didn’t cheat, adding, “Britney and Sam have broken up. He’s adamant he didn’t cheat. They haven’t been together for a long time and it’s finally over after a big explosion.”
The source later told ET, “She has been trying to get back on her feet and be healthy emotionally, physically and mentally. Britney has people by her side and her inner circle is there for her,” adding, “They rallied around her.”
“Britney and Sam have had ups and downs throughout their relationship. They have a lot of love for each other, but they also argue a lot about basic issues,” they continued. “Sometimes they feel as if each other’s needs are not fully met. Recently, things have taken a turn for the worse and their arguments have become more serious and real.”
