Singer Britney Spears reportedly has no plans to buy her childhood home in Louisiana.
As The Blast previously reported, the 41-year-old pop star’s childhood home in Kentwood, Louisiana, is being sold along with some priceless memorabilia. Although the home is on the market for $1.2 million, it seems the “Toxic” singer isn’t interested in buying the property she used to call home.

Although the “Gimme More” singer’s childhood home in Kentwood, Louisiana, is on the market for $1.2 million, it seems the pop star has absolutely no plans to return to the place she used to call home. Two and a half years after her father, Jamie Spears, sold the property for just $289,000, Britney’s childhood home is back on the market. This time, the new owner is looking to get over a million for the house, which includes priceless memorabilia like Britney’s childhood drawings, her own door and a door that has “Christina seduces, Brit rules” written on it. Many feel that “Christina” refers to “The Mickey Mouse Club” costar, Christina Aguilera.
On Thursday, a source told TMZ that Britney knew her family home was going to be sold and was not interested in buying the property. Insiders say that Britney didn’t really have a reaction, either positive or negative, when she heard the news. Some fans hoped she would buy the house and turn it into a museum dedicated to her formative years, but it seems the 41-year-old pop star is eager to put her past behind her, especially given how much she talks about it. her past in her memoir, “The Woman In Me.”

Britney’s 2,299 square foot childhood home consists of 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The house sits on 1.87 acres and even has a backyard pet cemetery. Lynne Spears Claims She Still Has Britney’s Old Childhood Doll Collection
In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” the Pop Princess reflected on the “peace” she felt when she decided she “never wanted to see” her father Jamie Spears, 71, her mother Lynne Spears, 68, her brother Bryan Spears, 46, or her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, 32, again.
After visiting her family in Kentwood, Lousiana, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Britney realized that some of her personal belongings stored at her mother’s house including her collection of beloved Madame Alexander dolls, which she received as a child, had been “thrown away. ” He claims that several years “are worth [her] writing” and poetry “binders” were removed as well, but Lynne took to Instagram to share a slideshow featuring a black journal and an old doll that still belongs to the pop star.
“I’m not sure who told you I got rid of your doll and journal but I won’t! That would be cruel because I know how much they mean to you. They are also special to me because of the years we spent collecting them,” Lynne wrote in the caption. “Of course, I still have your things, and I’m happy to send them to you if you want me to. Please tell me and know how much I love you!”
However, in a recent Instagram post, Britney told her mother that she is no longer interested in taking back her belongings. “Ps my mom loves you so much, but there were 3 dolls in the cabinet when I came home 2 years ago … kinda weird you would take them out and then put them back in … so messed up,” Britney wrote at the bottom of the post about Taylor Swift. “No, I don’t want them. Save everything. I honestly don’t care anymore … to be honest.”
