Sources say that the “Toxic” singer has paid Mathew Rosengart so many legal fees that he is willing to work pro bono while he settles his case. An insider told TMZ on Friday morning that Britney paid him $4,201,856.00, just from November 2021 to March 2023.
Since his conservatorship was denied by a judge in November 2021, it appears that most of his legal fees occurred after his conservatorship was over. However, another source told the outlet that the $4.2 million was only a fraction of the cost he paid and the actual total is now around $6 million.

Sources said that Britney’s team took issue with Rosengart’s high price, which is why she has agreed to work pro bono for the rest of the legal case against her father, Jamie Spears. Rosengart has been heavily involved in many areas of Britney’s life, not just related to her conservatorship.
He has also been involved with his music deals and his upcoming memoir, which has reportedly been delayed due to legal review. Although it should be released later this year, it remains to be seen when the untitled book will come out as it undergoes more legal review.

In August 2022, Britney’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, leaked three videos reportedly taken by their two teenage sons when they were just 11 and 12 years old. The video was posted after K-Fed claimed that his two sons didn’t want to see it because of his NSFW Instagram post.
In a lengthy statement released to TMZ, Mathew Rosengart blasted Kevin Federline for sharing Britney’s video online without his permission and threatened to take legal action against him if the video was not taken down. The video was later removed.

In the statement, Rosengart wrote, “Britney Spears is a brilliantly talented, incredibly hard-working icon who deserves to be loved and respected by millions around the world. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said of Mr. Federline, who for reasons- for some inexplicable reason, decided to give an interview for no reason that has hurt the mother to her children.”
Rosengart spoke about a Daily Mail interview published just a week earlier, in which Kevin said that the two boys had deliberately tried to distance themselves from the pop star.

“Britney has been very supportive of her children, she loves them very much,” Rosengart continued. “Whether he realizes it or not, Mr. Federline has not only violated the privacy and dignity of the mother of his children, he has also compromised his own children, whose privacy should be protected. His ITV interview aside, Mr Federline’s ill-advised decision to post old videos of his 11- and 12-year-old children was cruel. It’s disgusting.”
“Apart from degrading himself and breaking the norms of society, he has now also created various legal issues for himself including, but not limited to, involving cyber harassment and cyber bullying, among others,” he continued, insinuating that they are ready to take action the law against him.

“It’s been my honor to work with Britney, get her father a conservator, help her get her freedom and dignity, and help protect her from the kind of bullying she’s experienced in the past – and we will not tolerate bullying from any quarter.”
“We are working with Instagram to ensure that Mr. Federline complies with its rules and we are exploring all appropriate relief against him. In the meantime, as Britney herself said poignantly, whatever happened between her and her son should remain private,” he said. “We urge Mr. Federline to act in a polite and courteous manner and stop discussing private matters publicly, which benefits no one.”
