Singer Britney Spears paid big bucks to give actor Sam Asghari a new home.
The 29-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star on August 16 but listed their separation date as July 28, 2023, so it looks like the couple have been apart for a long time. After settling custody of all five of their dogs earlier this week, it appears the couple are ready to part ways.
Even so, it seems the two aren’t ready to cut ties financially just yet, as sources revealed that Britney is the one paying for Sam’s new luxury residence in Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, sources told Page Six that the “Special Ops: Lioness” actress has moved out of Britney’s Thousand Oaks estate and moved into the Ten Thousand building in Los Angeles, which is located on the border of Beverly Hills and Century City.
The 40-story building has 283 units, with rents ranging from $10,000 to $65,000 per month. This magnificent building has amenities such as a lap pool, private garden, valet service and a doctor on call who can provide medical services from treating colds to providing Botox.

A source told the outlet that the actor is trying to get along with his new neighbors, saying, “He’s friendly with the residents and often hangs out with his sister.” The outlet also noted that several high-profile celebrities, such as singer Demi Lovato, have rented space in the building.
While many questioned how Sam could afford his new luxury home, the answer became clear on Thursday, when a source told TMZ that Britney is paying $10,000 a month for Sam’s new home. Insiders revealed that $10,000 is the standard unit cost; however, Sam was able to negotiate a better apartment at the standard unit price.

Still, many fans weren’t happy to hear that Britney was picking up the tab for her new spot. On August 16, the day Sam filed for divorce, a source told Page Six that the actor “tried to negotiate concessions outside of his prenup and threatened to reveal very embarrassing information about Britney unless she was paid.”
The next day, the actor’s representative, Brandon Cohen, told The Hollywood Reporter that Sam had no intention of challenging the prenup. “There have been numerous allegations that Sam challenged the prenup and threatened to exploit his ex-wife with videos,” his rep told THR. “However, all these allegations are false, as no negative intentions have ever been directed at him and will never happen. Sam has always and will always support him.”

Sam also took to his Instagram story the same day to say that he would “wish her the best always” amid the divorce. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will hold on to the love and respect we have for each other and I wish him the best. Sh*t happens. Asking for privacy apparently [ridiculous] so I would just ask everyone including the media to be kind and considerate.”
Last Friday, a source told Us Weekly that Sam and Britney are not talking and are letting everything go through their lawyers. “He didn’t allow it [Sam] at home and they don’t talk,” adding, “They had issues for a while and all the drama surrounding Britney was really hard for Sam to take.”

Last Friday, TMZ reported that Sam is unlikely to get anything out of the marriage, even though he is willing to challenge the prenup. Although he requested spousal support in the divorce filing, his prenup prevented him from obtaining spousal support. He’ll get to keep any gifts Britney gives him but it looks like he’s not entitled to much else.
An insider told the outlet that the prenup also included an “extensive confidentiality clause,” which prohibited Sam from talking about his relationship with Britney. However, some sources believe that Britney may have just reached a new settlement with Sam with a new non-disclosure clause to buy her silence.
