Singer Britney Spears may be ready to make a career comeback!
The 41-year-old pop star released “Hold Me Closer” with Sir Elton John last year. The hit single quickly became a huge success and fans were eager to hear the next hit.
While Britney doesn’t seem to have any plans to tour again, it seems she still wants to release more music in the near future.
Britney Spears Reportedly Turns Down Offer But Still Interested in Recording

On Tuesday, a source told Page Six that Britney “still loves dancing and making music” and is just being more selective in the projects she chooses to work on. Now that he is free from conservatorship for 13 years, the “Toxic” singer is free to “call the shots” in his career.
“He has been talking about re-recording and has had many offers, some of which he has turned down, but it’s all about timing and choosing the right project. He’s smart like that,” the insider said. “The beauty of Britney being free again is that she can make a shot for the first time in a very long time, and she’s going to do it at her own pace.”

The insider went on to say that “Britney is traumatized by the tour,” adding, “For years, she’s been given grueling travel schedules and made to perform — even before her conservatorship.” The source claims Britney hit her “breaking point” in 2018 “when her Las Vegas residency finally ended but then her team decided to turn it into an international tour.” The tour featured more than thirty concerts across North America and Europe.
“He desperately needed a break after four years in Vegas and didn’t get it,” the source explained. “And then they had the audacity to book a second Vegas residency right after that.” However, Britney’s second residency, “Britney: Dominion,” never happened, as her father, Jamie Spears, committed her to a mental health facility before its 2019 debut.
Britney May Never Tour Or Hold Another Concert Again
This isn’t the first insider to say that Britney is completely done with touring. Earlier this week, TMZ reported that the “Stronger” singer was not interested in performing on stage again. While music star Paul Anka says that Britney is still one of the top five entertainers in the world, another insider told the outlet that the pop star is tired of “sweating” to perform.
While some fans may be disappointed by this news, it didn’t just come via an anonymous source. Britney herself has opened up about the ups and downs of her career in the caption of her social media post. He himself stated that he did not look forward to performing on stage again because of how “shrinking” the rehearsals were.

In December 2021, Britney took to Instagram in a since-deleted post to directly tell her followers “I don’t think I want to do it anymore” and said it was “too much” for her to deal with.
“I know I don’t play big arenas with my loud band anymore but I’ll be honest and say life on the road is tough!!! My first three years in business and traveling were great but I will be completely honest and say that after those three tours and the pace I was going through… I don’t think I want to do it anymore!!! I hate!!! I read an interview a long time ago where Will Smith said the music industry is a different animal than film!!! I agree it’s too much!!!”

In a March 2023 Instagram post, she said that touring across the country can be “difficult” and reminded her followers that she’s been in the music industry “for more than half of my life.”
“I’ve been in the music industry for over half my life!!! I was told by someone who directed the movie that the music industry is a different animal … especially tourism!!!” Britney explained. “It’s fun at first but if you’ve been doing it for a while, being in a different city always gets really tiring !!! I’ve done like 10 tours!!!”
While he may not be interested in touring anymore, fans are hoping to hear new music… and maybe a new album!
