Singer Britney Spears made headlines after she was reportedly assaulted by a member of Victor Wembanyama’s security forces.

Photos obtained by TMZ show the singer approaching him from behind. He reportedly patted his right back and shoulder when he was allegedly “hit on the spot” by Damian Smith, Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs. Smith was identified as the alleged attacker in the police report.
Britney’s glasses were reportedly ripped from her face when she fell to the ground. Although it is unclear if anyone helped him up, he was able to return to the table. Smith reportedly went to apologize, which Britney accepted. Smith reportedly stated that his reason for hitting the singer was, “You know what it’s like when you’re mobbed by fans.”

Although it was first reported that the incident was not considered a criminal case, as Smith was only trying to protect Victor, later updates revealed that the incident was considered a criminal case.

He told TMZ that Britney approached Victor and kept saying “I’m sorry, sir… I’m sorry, sir…” in a British accent. He said the pop star followed the NBA star and his entourage when he “infiltrated” his circle. Brian stated that his bodyguard gave him a “slap in the face.”
A law enforcement source told the outlet that Smith hit Britney’s hand and Britney’s hand hit her own face. However, Brian obviously disputes that and says that he can actually hear the slap. He said that his sunglasses were “flying”. He did not “remember” he fell to the ground, although he went “to the side” and bent over.
