Singer Britney Spears is reflecting on the music industry as a whole.
On Thursday afternoon, the 41-year-old pop star shared an Instagram post that included a live performance of her hit song, “Toxic.” Looking back, he called the show his “favorite” and one that took “a little effort.”

In her latest Instagram post, Britney shared footage from a live performance of “Toxic” from earlier in her career, crediting ABC Network for the clip.
“I’ve been in the music industry for over half my life!!! I was told by someone who directed the movie that the music industry is a different animal … especially tourism!!!” Britney explained. “It’s fun at first but if you’ve been doing it for a while, being in a different city always gets really tiring !!! I’ve done like 10 tours!!!”
“Well … as I look back on my career and I realize the one thing I did that required the least amount of effort … like absolutely … is my favorite thing I’ve ever done!!!” he revealed. “3 days of rehearsal, 1 day of dress rehearsal and performing only 5 songs, filmed to a T on a TV set !!!”
“It took 45 minutes to shoot … I remember afterwards being like, ‘wow that was easy, can we do it again???’ The lighting, everything was brilliant!!!” he added. “WAYYY different than hauling 4 trucks and 300 people on a tour where I can’t drink coffee ☕️ !!!!”

Britney’s highly controversial conservatorship began in February 2008 and was removed by a judge in November 2021. Since then, she has not been shy about discussing her conservatorship or her feelings about her parents.

In a since-deleted Instagram post from September 2022, Britney revealed that she had to undergo several MRI scans during her conservatorship. He said he was “confused” as to why he needed it and concluded that his family was just “cruel” to him.
“I really feel like my dad is trying to kill me and I hope he burns in the f—ing h—,” she told her followers at the time. In the caption, Britney wrote, “I’m sorry I’ll never forget because of the pain and the difference outside of my head clearly moving my legs … it’s only been 10 months since conservatorship ended … I wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on anyone!!! “

Just a month earlier, her mother Lynn Spears took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with her daughter.
“Britney, all your life, I’ve tried my best to support your dreams and wishes! And also, I have tried my best to help you out of trouble!” she wrote in the caption. “I have never and will never turn my back on you!”
“Your rejection to the many times I have flown out and called makes me feel hopeless! I have tried everything,” he continued. “I love you very much, but this talk is only for you and me, face to face, in private. ❤️?.”
