On Tuesday night, the 41-year-old pop star took to Instagram to share a quote from Sri Ravi Shankar to talk about her meditation practice and the importance of self-love.

On Tuesday night, the “Hold Me Closer” singer took to Instagram to share a quote by Sri Ravi Shankar, which reads, “Meditation is a journey from sound to silence, from movement to stillness, from limited identity to limitless space.”
“This quote really resonated with me!!!” Britney wrote in the caption. “The world can be very noisy at times!!! When I meditate in silence, I become the most enlightened ??♀️ !!! Everything seems clearer and my mind feels calm.”

“Enlightenment for me is a higher consciousness … which I personally think brings me closer to God or some say connected to the universe ? !!!” he explained. “I choose not to talk about religion because most people get offended when others discuss their beliefs…. I’m just sharing my passion for meditation because it just changed my life a few years ago!!!”
“I breathe more deeply and I have a more caring attitude towards others and myself. Learning to love yourself is one of life’s most beautiful treasures!!!” he continued. “Sometimes the world can be so cruel … finding strength through meditation and prayer has changed my life. Over an hour after the post went up, Britney disabled comments on her post and all of the aforementioned comments disappeared.
