While Britney’s first book focused on her career, her friendships, her high-profile relationships, and her conservatorship, it looks like the second book will focus on her divorce from actor Sam Asghari.
The 29-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star on August 16, 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The “Special Ops: Lioness” actress filed for divorce after Britney gave her final stamp of approval on the manuscript for “The Woman In Me” so there’s nothing but praise for Sam in the book’s pages.

Crediting him for giving her the “courage” to speak out against conservatives, Britney recalled how she was “immediately smitten” with him when they met on the set of the “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. “I knew I wanted him in my life right away,” she wrote. “The chemistry with us at first was insane. One of the biggest surprises to come out of Britney’s book was the revelation that she and Justin Timberlake had navigated an unplanned pregnancy during their three-year relationship, which lasted from 1999 to 2002.
In an excerpt of “The Woman In Me,” Britney wrote, “It’s a shock, but for me, it’s not a tragedy. I love Justin so much. I’ve always hoped we’d have a family together one day. It’s going to be sooner than I expect,” she wrote in her memoir. “But Justin was definitely not happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were too young.”
