Fans of pop star Britney Spears may have been a bit confused on Tuesday, when she announced a new project in the caption of an Instagram video featuring her dancing in her living room.
The 42-year-old pop star may say she’s done making new music, but it seems she still has something for her fans.

On Tuesday, January 30, the “Toxic” singer teased a new project in the caption of an Instagram post that featured her dancing around her living room. “Enticing to [a] new project coming soon!!!!” he wrote in the caption. “SEX N DIAMONDS!!! PS Swipe to see diamonds !!!” Swiping fans were treated to a video of her dancing in a bejeweled outfit in her living room.
The announcement comes shortly after Michelle Williams’ audio version of Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” earned an Audie Award nomination. The winners will be announced at a ceremony hosted in Los Angeles on March 4. The list of nominees includes many actors, including Tom Hanks, Alfr, Patrick Stewart, Sean Astin, Rosamund Pik, Daisy Ridley, Rita Wilson, Ego Nwodim, and Neil Patrick Harris are all nominated.
Sean McManus, president of the Audio Publishers Association, told People magazine, “Last year, we saw the art of human storytelling through incredible and diverse audiobook publishing, showcasing the talents of Oscar winners like Meryl Streep, insightful storytelling from public figures like Michelle Obama and the brilliant Neil Gaiman’s literature. We’re also excited to announce our inaugural APA Picks recognition, a new honor celebrating some of the year’s most exciting titles that became cultural phenomena, including The woman in me from Britney Spears.”

While it’s unclear what the announcement was about, earlier this month the Pop Princess clarified that she had no plans to create a new album while dismissing rumors that she was working on new music with pop icon Charli XCX. “Just so we’re clear most of the news is rubbish!!! They keep saying I’m turning to random people to make a new album … I’m not going back to the music industry !!!” she wrote on Instagram earlier this month.
“When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people !!! For those of you who have read my book, there’s a lot you don’t know about me … I’ve written over 20 songs for other people in the last two years !!!” he explained. “I’m a ghostwriter and I really enjoy it that way!!! People also say MY BOOK HAS BEEN PUBLISHED WITHOUT MY APPROVAL ILLEGALLY and that is far from the truth … did you read the news today ??? I am so loved and blessed!!!”

Although she deleted the post early Tuesday morning, over the weekend the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer admitted that she loves ex Justin Timberlake’s new single, “Selfish,” which, coincidentally, is also the name of a song from her 2011 Femme Fatale album.
“I want to apologize for some of the things I wrote in my book. If I offend any of the people I really care about, I’m so sorry… I also want to say I’m in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish,’” she captioned the since-deleted Instagram post. “It’s so good and why is it that every time I see Justin and Jimmy together, I laugh out loud??? Ps ‘Sanctified’ is also wow.”
While some fans speculated that she was hacked, insiders revealed that Britney’s praise was genuine. “Honestly he just wanted to wish him well. He really likes the song,” an insider told People magazine. “He is a good hearted person.”
“He really likes good music. He’s curious about [Timberlake’s] new song, and he really likes his new music,” added the second source. “Britney has a good heart and is full of praise when she likes something. He always speaks his mind. That’s what’s special about him.”
