Britney Spears Won’t See Her Sons Before They Move To Hawaii

Singer Britney Spears had no plans to see the two teenage boys she shared with ex-husband Kevin Federline before they moved to Hawaii.

The former couple were married from 2004 to 2007 and share two children together: Sean Preston Federline, 17, and Jayden James Federline, 16.

The “Hold Me Closer” singer reportedly hasn’t seen her son in about a year, despite living in a nearby neighborhood. Unfortunately, it looks like it will be a while before he gets a chance to see them face to face again as they prepare to move to Hawaii.

On Monday, TMZ was the first to report that her two sons will be moving to Hawaii with their father and his current wife, Prince Victoria, without seeing their mother.

Victoria, a former volleyball player, was reportedly offered a job in the athletic department at a university in Hawaii, which prompted the move.

Although fans had heard that the move would be made in August, it seems they didn’t have to wait long. Sources told the outlet that the family plans to move on Tuesday, August 1.

However, it seems that the family still has not found a place to live. Sources said the couple planned to rent a residence on the island as they looked for a permanent home.

As for Sean, it’s unclear what his college plans are. Jayden still has one year of high school to go, which he will do from afar as the family continues to make headlines.

Britney’s Lawyer Accuses K-Fed’s Lawyer of Creating ‘Unnecessary Drama’

Earlier this year, Kevin Federline made headlines when his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, issued a public statement saying that K-Fed would be forced to get a judge’s approval to make the move, as Britney had yet to give her formal consent.

It was possible the judge would approve the move since the boys hadn’t seen their mother for over a year, but it ended up not being necessary, as Britney finally gave her legal consent to allow the move to take place.

Even so, his lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, is not too happy that K-Fed’s lawyer has made the whole thing public. In fact, in a letter he sent to Rosengart (obtained by Page Six), Rosengart revealed that Britney had been contacted about the move months before it made headlines and that she wasn’t expecting controversy over the move.

In his letter, Rosengart acknowledged that Sean Preston will turn 18 in September and “will no longer be a minor” a month after the move, adding that Jayden, 16, is also “approaching puberty.”

“To her credit, Britney Spears would not intervene and agree to the relocation,” Rosengart wrote, adding that she “didn’t expect a dispute” when Kaplan first approached her about the move. Instead, she claims that she urged Kaplan to keep the matter confidential for the sake and dignity of all parties involved, including the children.

“It is even more disappointing that you have nevertheless chosen to publicize this matter, creating unnecessary drama and a false ‘controversy’ by publicly discussing your issue and letter,” Rosengart wrote. “When I called you yesterday to express my disappointment that you had done so, you denied doing so. Apparently, you don’t realize it [TMZ’s] The May 30th story itself cites you as the source of the story.”

Rosengart said that Kaplan “didn’t serve a good purpose” in running to the press with the story, slamming the move as “dishonorable, disrespectful, and unnecessary.”

Rosengart ended his letter by calling the “Toxic” singer “an icon, loved and respected by millions around the world,” as well as a “loving and supportive mother, devotedly supporting” her two teenage sons despite their estrangement.

It remains unclear how long Britney will focus on her relationship with her children or her ex-husband in her new memoir, “The Woman In Me,” which hits bookshelves this October.

Fans are optimistic that the pop star is making a career comeback, as he just released his second post-conservation single, “Mind Your Business” with will.i.am, last week. In fact, the Black Eyed Peas frontman revealed that Britney created an entirely new song while they were working on “Mind Your Business” and believes that Britney has “a lot” of unreleased music that fans haven’t heard yet!
