Contrary to rumors that the “Vanderpump Rules” alum’s marriage ended because of Taylor’s infidelity, Cartwright’s latest interview revealed the real reason behind their split and why they decided to take some time off.

“We’ve actually just been fighting and not on the same page for a while now, and it’s just been a negative space in our own house,” Cartwright admitted.
“I just don’t want that for our son. I don’t want him to grow up thinking it’s normal to live like that,” she continued, referring to the couple’s 2-year-old son Cruz. Regarding Taylor’s alleged cheating, the doting mom confirmed to E! News:
“Jax didn’t cheat on me, but we got into a really bad fight, and I decided to pack my things, and I’ve been staying at an Airbnb since January 24th.”

As noted, Cartwright announced the estranged couple’s split in February and did so in an emotional episode of their joint podcast, “When Reality Hits.” He said the couple had been getting questions about their relationship status and wanted to clarify.
“I know on my last podcast, I referred to a lot of marriages going through tough times. Yeah, marriages in general are really tough, and I had a really tough year last year,” he explained before dropping the bombshell announcement:
“Jax and I took time out, and I decided to move into another house to take some space for my mental health.”
Cartwright pleaded with his fans to pray for him and Taylor as they navigate this phase of their relationship. However, she insists that they are both fine and seem to have decided to part ways on good terms.
