Ex-model Isabel Lawson missing after slipping out of Fla. addiction center, last seen with homeless man at gas station

A former model with mental health issues has disappeared from an addiction treatment center in Florida – and was last seen with a homeless man at a gas station in Alabama.

Isabel Lawson, 24, a 5-foot-10, blue-eyed blonde who moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue a modeling career, slipped out of a Pensacola treatment center for women on Tuesday, news station WEAR reported.

Her parents, Anna and Lance Lawson, haven’t slept since getting the news that she slipped out of the facility without a key, according to the report.

“We really care about his safety,” Anna told WEAR. “He has mental health issues. He didn’t have any identification with her. No phone. nothing.

“He’s from Santa Rosa, so he doesn’t know anyone here [in Pensacola]. She is not familiar with the area at all,” he added of his daughter, who has appeared in fashion magazines in the US and abroad.

The couple, Pensacola police and the anti-dog-trafficking group The Shepherds have been searching for Lawson since her disappearance.

On Thursday, the parents told the outlet that surveillance video captured their daughter at a gas station in Mobile, Alabama, where she was seen with a homeless man.

The Shepherds have managed to contact the man, but Lawson is still missing and the search continues.

His parents said he had been dealing with addiction for years – but added that he had been sober for six months.

“She is a beautiful, young, kind and vulnerable girl. He would probably go with anyone,” Anna told WEAR.

“We are very scared and worried for you,” he added in a message to his daughter. “We just want you to be safe and we love you so much. Please contact us if possible.”

Brad Dennis, a member of The Shepherds, said every missing person should have a similar response to his parents.

“Whenever someone goes missing, it’s usually for necessity,” he told WEAR.

“They run to something or from something. If we can step into their lives for a moment, maybe we can provide other options or solutions for them,” he added.
