Bruce Springsteen Reveals Extremely Painful Condition Responsible For Tour Cancelation

Bruce Springsteen has made his health his top priority and revealed the painful condition that was responsible for canceling his tour.

Earlier this month, the iconic musician postponed all of his September performances under doctor’s orders following his diagnosis of peptic ulcer disease. In his latest social media announcement, the guitarist revealed he is on the road to recovery.

Despite assuring concerned fans of his well-being, it appears the 74-year-old is still not ready to play for the rest of the year. The health update confirmed that the performer’s scheduled concert for 2023 has been postponed, with a new date to be announced next week.

According to health experts, peptic ulcer disease can cause extreme pain in the stomach due to problems in the small intestine. “Burning stomach pain, feeling full, bloating or belching, intolerance to fatty foods, heartburn, nausea,” are just some of the symptoms.

The beloved Heartland Rock startup’s Instagram page was updated with a post about his recovery on Wednesday, September 27. The image features an announcement about the postponement of the Springsteen & E Street Band 2023-2024 tour.

“Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from a peptic ulcer over the past few weeks and will continue treatment throughout the year on the advice of his doctor,” the statement began.

It continued, “With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024.”

Fans who have purchased tickets need not despair as the rescheduled dates for the postponed shows, including the September concert, will take place in their original venues. However, those who cannot make the new date are allowed to get a refund through the official ticket company.

“All tickets for the postponed show will remain valid for the newly announced date,” the announcement continued. Regarding Springsteen’s health, the poster concludes with a message from the iconic guitarist. The words of the 74-year-old man read:

“Thank you to all my friends and fans for your kind words, encouragement and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Concerned fans positively received the health update, expressing love in the comments section. Many assured the “Tougher Than the Rest” singer that they were happy to wait as she recovered, while others sent prayers and well wishes.

“Your health is now the most important thing, take good care of yourself and recover. We’ll see you when you recover! I love you, Bruce!” A follower wrote sweetly. “We love you, Bruce! Pray for a speedy recovery,” said another user.

A third read, “Don’t give up, my hero,” while a fourth bemoaned their situation, noting they had gone out of their way to watch the Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient perform with the E Street Band.

“Sad. Had a flight ticket from Brazil to see him in LA at the end of the year, and it’s going to slip now. After all, that’s life. Hope he gets well soon, and I’ll find a way to see him in person,” the individual said.

The “Born To Run” hitmaker’s health scare started earlier in September with the postponement of an upcoming concert that month. Just hours before Springsteen and The E Street Band were scheduled for their first Philly show, the frontman announced the sad news on his Instagram page.

In the statement, the 74-year-old revealed he was suffering from peptic ulcer disease and would not be able to hold up his end of the deal. “Here at E Street, we are saddened to have to postpone this show,” the musician confessed.

“First, apologies to our wonderful Philly fans who we missed the past few weeks. We’ll be back to take this show and then some,” the 4-time AMA winner promised, not knowing his recovery would result in the postponement of all shows until 2024.

Months before the postponement of Springsteen and The E Street Band’s 2023-2024 tour dates, the 20-time Grammy winner sparked concerns about his well-being. In June, the Rock n’ Roll sensation suffered a terrible stage accident while performing in Amsterdam.

During the performance, the “I’m Goin’ Down” singer tried to climb the stairs on stage but shocked fans by falling and rolling backwards. The performer was still holding his guitar when he fell before the instrument was removed by one of his friends, who rushed to his aid.

The band lifted Springsteen back to his feet with a concerned expression. However, the New Jersey native was not surprised by his fall as he grinned after being lifted off the floor. Like a true professional, the 74-year-old dodged a moment and addressed the crowd, saying: “Good night, everyone!” before raising his hands and starting a new song.
