Burned body of young Israeli boy found in kibbutz attic where he tried to hide from Hamas terrorists

The burnt body of an Israeli boy has been recovered from the attic of his home – 11 days after a surprise attack by Hamas terrorists, from where he was apparently hiding in a kibbutz.

Volunteers with Israel’s Zaka International Rescue Unit sifting through the destroyed Kibbutz Be’eri, where more than 100 people were slaughtered, made the gruesome discovery on Wednesday, The Times of Israel reported.

Israeli journalist Hallel Bitton Rosen post a picture on X Zaka’s workers removed the bandaged body of the unknown boy from the rubble. He appeared to be about 5 years old, according to the news outlet.

The body of a woman was also found inside the house, which was set on fire by terrorists on October 7, according to Rosen.

At least 1,400 people have been killed and 3,800 injured in Israel since Oct. 7.

The death of a small child who hid from evil in a house has parallels with the case of Anne Frank, the famous Jewish girl who hid from the Nazis in an attic in Amsterdam during World War II.

The German-born girl became a worldwide symbol of perseverance by spending more than two years in hiding with her family as she documented her plight in a diary, published in 1947.

Anne died in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945.
