However, she recently got out during a blind audition thanks to her ex-boyfriend, Shawn Mendes.

The now-ex-couple shared a joint statement that read, “Hey friends we have decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for each other as human beings is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as good friends and will continue to be good friends.”
The statement ended with an appreciation for their fans for their overwhelming support and love from the beginning before signing off as “Camila and Shawn.”

On Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice,” Cabello and her fellow coaches held a blind audition.
Contestant Tanner Howe delivers a rendition of Shawn Mendes’ hit song “Mercy.”

“Is that me… Is that Shawn up there?” he asked the other judge. “I was like, is Shawn on stage?”
Cabello DID NOT turn her chair for Howe since she sounded TOO similar to her ex.
“I know [Shawn] better than everyone in this room,” he admitted. “The reason I didn’t turn is because maybe you sound too much like him?”
The former Fifth Harmony member suggested Howe worked to “differentiate” herself from Mendes, who she admitted she wants to be in the singer’s lane when it comes to her career.
“I’m in his lane … deep down,” he replied.
Camila Makes It Awkward For The Other Judges
This comment sparked some tension and John Legend asked Cabello if she was “trying to make it as awkward as possible” for everyone.

Following their breakup, Mendes canceled his world tour due to his mental health.
“It became clearer that I needed to take the time I never took personally, to ground myself and come back stronger,” she wrote on Instagram. “Unfortunately I have had to cancel the remaining tour dates in North America, and the UK / Europe. We hope that I may be able to take another date after some much-needed time, but at the moment I have to put my health first.”
Cabello on the other hand has returned to the dating pool.
