The hit CW show is coming to an end after seven seasons, which is bittersweet for the cast. Camila Mendes spoke about the end of the beloved show, saying, “Everybody’s always like, yeah, ‘Free the cast of Riverdale’ or whatever, but I think in the end, we’re all going to be sad when it ends.”

“Any kind of creative artist looks for new challenges, and there comes a time when something is no longer challenging. I think everyone is just ready for the next chapter. It’s like we tackled the show in a different way,” Mendes continued.

Lili Reinhart also spoke about the end of the hit show, saying, “It is. It has a bittersweet feeling. And I think I’m just trying to approach this season not taking anything for granted, really trying to be present, trying to enjoy the stars with me. So, it was different for me at least.”

Reinhart is close with her castmates, especially Madelaine Petsch and Camila Mendes, who regularly post TikTok videos together. When talking about her relationship with the girls, Reinhart said, “We’re all going in different directions, location-wise, which I hope when we hang out and get together, we can find a way to make TikTok.”

The seventh and final season of “Riverdale” is expected to air in 2023 on the CW. Seasons one through six are currently streaming on Netflix.
